Job Purpose:: o& {5 @6 c2 [9 x4 L8 @
To support the Executive Director with fundraising, special events and will be instrumental in the development of our Social Enterprise. This position will also be working directly with children 6-12 years old to teach life skills such as self esteem, communication skills, peer relations using recreation and physical activities to promote growth. Small group facilitation, one-to-ones, family support, advocacy and referrals are used to achieve program outcomes.

Administrative Duties and Responsibilities include:- T" d! [: x- |
• Working together with the Executive Director to solidify new funding opportunities and write funding reports as needed;
( d2 X% F# G8 p! @# k• Supporting in the overall development of programs and activities that benefit our community and our children;: p# A+ u) A* h. h) q; }
• Maintaining and evaluating program outcomes;4 N, I- c' a5 f: E0 k. d
• Spearheading the further develop our social enterprise;
/ L, b8 }3 h, l- {• Risk Management and succession planning;

Program Duties and Responsibilities include: : X' X* @7 |9 S; H' l: O- k, [
• Maintaining comprehensive and objective contact notes related to child or conversations with others about child;1 v6 ~8 Z8 } t* y, r
• Maintaining confidentiality related to all participant information;# T H$ K- `, ?4 w5 p
• Liaising and/or advocate with school personnel, parent/guardian, and child, as required;
# `$ a. S* F" |. O! u• Creatively planning, organizing, and evaluating small group and one-to-one activities1 v5 e4 V+ Q0 I+ e! O4 V$ }6 `
• Participating in establishing achievable program outcomes and employ group strategies and activities to achieve the same;' M# V1 g+ A' @* d8 l) P
• Meeting with participants on a one-to-one basis to help them achieve success with their goals;
$ x8 f/ L* S" R2 E: w• Building and maintaining positive relationships with children in groups;
( Y% R5 A' h+ P ?( r1 Q$ w+ I; x5 m• Participating in the planning and implementation of family activities for participants & families;

• Degree in communications, human services or related field;7 u" t' q' ]( V p7 [% t
• Extensive knowledge of the not for profit or voluntary sector;! c p4 Q* g8 E; x$ p! l' B( x) ?
• Knowledge of all federal and provincial legislation applicable to voluntary sector organizations; 8 A8 _. l) n& @
• Excellent oral and written communication skills with experience in writing funding proposals and reports a must;
! L9 }1 A9 ]- Y2 f. u8 @% C3 H• The abilities to multi-task, creatively problem solve, communicate effectively, foster teamwork, and build relationships are critical.0 r: W6 R7 T! _
• Extensive experience in group facilitation and working with children;, w2 U6 g8 x* h2 D. {
• Current certificates in Aboriginal Cultural Awareness, Suicide Intervention, Standard First Aid and CPR, Non-Violent Crisis Intervention are preferred;
% F, H: ^# U6 ~• Clear CYIM, Security Clearance, and Driver’s Abstract;
( W; }% X+ R9 C8 v: t# X/ j+ m' L• Current valid drivers license;) T" v( G) ?% L$ c4 e- }# v
• Knowledge of and comfort with the implementation of behavioural intervention strategies;% p% |, q, F. ?( s% [
• Conflict resolution skills;* `6 q, W( Q7 z7 B
• Clear understanding of professional boundaries;
