- submit information for community news
( ^# A$ m8 i* K' L- provide volunteers to update membership database
& [8 i: E% x8 c) l8 O! w( U% Q2 `! \- recruiting, performing security and reference checks, providing orientation, supervising, referring and placing volunteers$ ]- p( j) f3 F' B. T! o0 z# L
- train volunteers for ISP and provide duties
0 z7 d0 P) E4 T" g! [ U- train volunteers for Centre and provide duties
6 K* m- a, \+ o- provide volunteers for various programs
3 z9 G% h+ p& O3 b! w& f- coordinate, update Volunteer Manual
% r. O8 A$ f" V g/ O( ^& ]- planning and coordinating Volunteer Appreciation
7 Q9 L: U1 o1 l+ u/ t ~+ x; v& C( E* r! b6 ?- participate in ISP department and agency meetings/activities! R4 p& _6 L, c$ V+ q* x t
- participate in external committees/conferences/workshops related to volunteer services
( R% n$ L( t5 ]# Q- assist in writing ISP proposals and reports% d/ E4 g: D0 ^, M( `
- provide volunteers for Centre activities as needed
5 q4 @! r9 B& ^3 b6 E! c- assist with Centre’s other activities or programs as needed
# ]/ R/ I% e' V, s: G; I( C% }- work flexible hours (including evenings, weekends as required)
9 k/ O; R- ^% ~2 i7 V& L" ?8 {- promoting volunteerism through various media including the 3 main Chinese newspapers, Chinese radio station and the Chinese television, Fairchild TV, brochures, pamphlets, booth displays, special events 2 J/ K& M4 [5 c* o
- development and distribution of a volunteer manual
8 B' c7 r1 z6 J& g7 @) ?- planning and implementing training sessions for volunteers 8 ^ D' S3 r {9 w; Y) l1 ^- s
- planning and implementing training sessions for staff that work with volunteers - X/ q5 R- F# G* g& ^6 |% m% f' _2 S1 d
- consulting and reporting to the Advisory Committee on a regular basis $ N) [# q! j$ I# L2 a( X
- evaluations # X' j+ Z# k1 _: ^
- demonstrate team spirit in achieving vision and objectives of Centre& d- \/ {/ u* U

Qualifications+ v3 l4 n- u/ v+ p
- degree or diploma in Social Work, Sociology, Community Services, Human Services or related experience and education
/ M2 E# F: E% L# V& H2 f- good oral and written Chinese and English skills0 k) {7 i; ?1 P ]" B! ^: t7 Y; J& S& O# N
- experience in volunteer coordinating and immigrant services) O, ^% X$ y) `) b( x0 }
- leadership skills

- exceptional communication, interpersonal skills
