- submit information for community news
+ V( W/ f9 ]! X* f1 @- provide volunteers to update membership database
3 E* ~9 ]+ `" q- recruiting, performing security and reference checks, providing orientation, supervising, referring and placing volunteers
1 e; s' p5 o- N" v" f- train volunteers for ISP and provide duties
3 E0 N0 }4 D+ Y* |5 X& I" `- train volunteers for Centre and provide duties* Y% _7 s. p+ G* H! N. l1 s
- provide volunteers for various programs % f# p6 b9 \" t$ }, B4 i
- coordinate, update Volunteer Manual6 s6 Z x% m7 K1 l
- planning and coordinating Volunteer Appreciation
0 K/ B, ]! Y* k- participate in ISP department and agency meetings/activities, Q' @( }; N3 j t
- participate in external committees/conferences/workshops related to volunteer services- L' g, X) G- P% j
- assist in writing ISP proposals and reports
. n# D5 v2 V8 M/ X- provide volunteers for Centre activities as needed
, i3 W" J6 ~- y, Q, G- assist with Centre’s other activities or programs as needed

- promoting volunteerism through various media including the 3 main Chinese newspapers, Chinese radio station and the Chinese television, Fairchild TV, brochures, pamphlets, booth displays, special events + P1 i* ~2 E4 P3 W6 b. P
- development and distribution of a volunteer manual - v0 B) U2 H4 E3 D( a4 l7 [
- planning and implementing training sessions for volunteers / p, {7 t. {) D
- planning and implementing training sessions for staff that work with volunteers ) X: q9 ]+ q" c! z: t5 K0 m+ s. A! c
- consulting and reporting to the Advisory Committee on a regular basis 1 E+ x1 X6 T4 W9 Q6 Z& i1 ^
- evaluations

Qualifications% s, q1 d, R) X
- degree or diploma in Social Work, Sociology, Community Services, Human Services or related experience and education$ \: I% q9 z& ^( [
- good oral and written Chinese and English skills6 ^0 N# g8 ~6 s2 `0 X9 C
- experience in volunteer coordinating and immigrant services
0 V6 F# H2 [# T! D+ Z8 ]3 j- leadership skills
0 q( i$ S1 T2 z1 H- management and supervision skills
4 U; K( E- i! S" v% s- exceptional communication, interpersonal skills
