车在外省被撞了，求救~~

我有一个朋友，租车去saskatoon，被后面的车撞了，给租车的保险公司打电话说，他撞的你，记下对方的个人信息，回去还车走保险就可以了。
等回来之后还车时，租车公司说需要警察开具的证明才可以走保险，后来又去了警察局，警察说他只负责本城市的事情，其他的地方管不了。
问题出现了，像现在这种情况难道只有开回saskatoon报警，然后拿着警察的证明再回来还车吗？还有没有其他的办法呢？

我建议你去跟租车的保险公司核实一下,到底都要什么。我感觉对方过错下其实不难办，可能只是租车公司怕麻烦

What is the criteria for reporting a traffic accident? Can I phone it in?
Effective August 1, 2002, Saskatchewan motorists will only have to report motor vehicle collisions to police if the collision involves:
1) Any bodily injury or death;
2) A Hit-and-Run;
3) A driver impaired by alcohol or drugs;
4) A motor vehicle towed from the scene;
5) An out-of-province vehicle.

Normally, police would be dispatched to the collisions described above. One exception may be an owner's discovery that his/her vehicle has been damaged in a hit-and-run, but the vehicle can still be safely driven to Police Headquarters. In such a case, the owner could make a report in person at Police Headquarters.

If you are reporting a motor vehicle collision that involves damage to a vehicle or other property
and does not fall into a category listed above, please make your report directly to SGI

事情有了新的进展，租车公司收回了车，但是多收了Damage Responsibility $300, 还多了一天的租金$115。
租车公司说，多收的钱先扣下，然后你再向撞你车的人索要，今天给撞车人打电话，他不承认了。
下一步该怎么办呢？

事发时有没有照相，有没有证人？如果有，联络对方保险索取Claim Number, 连同对方保险号码，照片与证人联络方式传真给保险公司, 由Adjustor 观察双方证据后定夺。

什么都没有的话，自己这里有没有汽车保险？我们代理的汽车保险一般都可以附带租车时的额外保险。　如果你是老经验，这些附加险都免费送，　还加上一次意外车祸责任　（Accident Forgiveness) 与告票宽恕　（Ticket Forgiveness)，不涨保费。

如果什么都没有，那只能自认倒霉了。

他给你保险号了么，给了你就报，这些一般没事你不会有的，报不了再说后面的情况

他只记下了车牌号和驾驶证上的内容，没有记录保险的相关信息。

拍下了照片，但是没有证人。

也就是说你没有肇事者的保险号？

他是个新手，不知道该怎么做，撞车的人当时着急要走，只是把现场拍了照片，把他的driver license拍了照片而已。
