What is the criteria for reporting a traffic accident? Can I phone it in?
, G' S9 n) L& _Effective August 1, 2002, Saskatchewan motorists will only have to report motor vehicle collisions to police if the collision involves:3 X, f+ d& B& |- r+ M/ @- a0 q& o7 I0 O2 \
1) Any bodily injury or death;
8 X8 x/ d0 M5 X- i+ Y4 s4 b: ~0 X/ W2) A Hit-and-Run;& w. Z& s' N% V' {
3) A driver impaired by alcohol or drugs; } S: r/ G' ~3 `4 x, T# Q# U2 i
4) A motor vehicle towed from the scene;$ b8 ?6 s# Y+ m( P) q8 h- g# \
5) An out-of-province vehicle.$ W7 P1 u6 t$ T, p7 ~2 y: ]

Normally, police would be dispatched to the collisions described above. One exception may be an owner's discovery that his/her vehicle has been damaged in a hit-and-run, but the vehicle can still be safely driven to Police Headquarters. In such a case, the owner could make a report in person at Police Headquarters.
