Position Title: Receptionist/Immigrant Services Worker

Within the broad guidelines of Integrated Service Program funded by Citizenship and Immigration Canada and Alberta Human Services, the Receptionist/Immigrant Services Worker will answer a multi-line phone calls professional, politely, and directing the calls correctly; assist in clerical needs of the ISP team; assist with providing counter service and act as relieve to the other Immigrant Services Worker. 1 A- D' w/ Z! d7 Z9 }5 T& T! Key Responsibilities:/ k2 N* n& L9 N B8 n3 X5 K
• Answer incoming calls and route calls to appropriate person; [4 g0 f2 w( y: [+ {% s
• Take and deliver messages to the staff of ASSIST0 M% N* I% S( S2 l
• Welcome clients and direct them appropriately7 B" S2 q* U- ?' @6 F
• Order and maintain office supplies for the front counter# Y' H. D( C: ?0 {6 J/ L$ g( r
• Perform general clerical functions such as photocopying and faxing documents) A' h% k2 A8 q* j
• Provide assistance to immigrants and clients seeking settlement related services in the capacity of immigrant services worker9 c4 a( l3 t3 H. h9 r
• Maintain and update the information boards with upcoming events
w9 j2 h8 {6 C! a4 @( E; B% y• Assist the ISP team in reminding clients to appointments of workshops or other events

• Attend meeting and training to stay current on immigrant settlement matters! T; ^" F6 q }
• Maintain front counter service files

• Report to ISP Program Manager

6 g' B" i" A, z( M; i* GKnowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:4 Y; N. B* {! e- W3 b% ^0 q
• Excellent communication (verbal and listening) on phone and in person
0 ]( N6 `+ P, ]/ M• Fluent in Mandarin and Cantonese as an asset
# \9 ~8 Q* B2 @" M• Good English writing and oral communication skills: v& i0 u a2 f/ p9 S- Z8 x
• Ability to work with newcomers and general clients
4 S" e* }: T% t. u/ b; \5 F+ Y* ^3 ]• Microsoft Office operation skills- Excel, Word, Outlook+ `, y2 _- d6 \, h4 _
• Ability to address multi-task and set priority appropriately 0 |$ e6 O( s& G- ^5 f5 a1 N0 K& X
• Sensitive to the needs of immigrants with multicultural backgrounds
* M* y1 }7 H' O; C# o2 k• Ability to work effectively in a fast paced office environment

Qualifications:$ x/ p* U. p7 [$ c
• 2-4 years of office and clerical experience
2 a1 \1 h$ L& v3 e( g• Receptionist or customer service experience in a fast paced environment) D( }2 {) U' R% B8 R; z
• Demonstrate workplace maturity and professionalism! ^2 q# J: \" l. P
• Ability to work well under minimal supervision5 Y3 ^( O" `, H" f2 c7 A4 p! r/ M+ x
