Within the broad guidelines of Integrated Service Program funded by Citizenship and Immigration Canada and Alberta Human Services, the Receptionist/Immigrant Services Worker will answer a multi-line phone calls professional, politely, and directing the calls correctly; assist in clerical needs of the ISP team; assist with providing counter service and act as relieve to the other Immigrant Services Worker. 6 N5 z( {" K# M3 [) j) H4 T

Key Responsibilities:* X6 V) c0 n* O/ Q- e6 i
• Answer incoming calls and route calls to appropriate person* i/ R4 N1 |2 T- }# M( h
• Take and deliver messages to the staff of ASSIST
) C" Y4 b" { @# D6 R3 W- x+ s- j# ~• Welcome clients and direct them appropriately
) v& r7 g& @* q• Order and maintain office supplies for the front counter
9 `9 a- |9 [, v% j2 l• Perform general clerical functions such as photocopying and faxing documents% b" C: c5 S" |7 w
• Provide assistance to immigrants and clients seeking settlement related services in the capacity of immigrant services worker

• Assist the ISP team in reminding clients to appointments of workshops or other events) P- Q8 r$ [' s* b* i* R" P$ L
• Keep the reception area tidy and clean
. U5 z! ~' m7 z• Attend meeting and training to stay current on immigrant settlement matters

• Perform general office duties as assigned

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:; t$ f2 ~; ]4 |2 h' K% @0 r
• Excellent communication (verbal and listening) on phone and in person
6 i1 E2 [& l S" p* l( o• Fluent in Mandarin and Cantonese as an asset4 P7 N) S, i: {+ V$ R4 s. Z
• Good English writing and oral communication skills
6 G8 w/ h+ U/ Q9 I) U5 |% F; g• Ability to work with newcomers and general clients
, B8 J2 L( [( l• Microsoft Office operation skills- Excel, Word, Outlook6 D# c3 X/ ^! ~5 @4 S' r' K
• Ability to address multi-task and set priority appropriately 9 \& M; _+ r/ R R
• Sensitive to the needs of immigrants with multicultural backgrounds

• Knowledge of immigrant services

Qualifications:
! H* t3 l; E% G• 2-4 years of office and clerical experience
5 p. Z3 h0 ^1 @ ~3 O9 L- |• Receptionist or customer service experience in a fast paced environment
* i( p) b- r( O9 r6 e• Demonstrate workplace maturity and professionalism6 \0 j; Q3 x$ h* J5 D6 t" q
• Ability to work well under minimal supervision' x9 y) U: T4 V6 o
