Within the broad guidelines of Integrated Service Program funded by Citizenship and Immigration Canada and Alberta Human Services, the Receptionist/Immigrant Services Worker will answer a multi-line phone calls professional, politely, and directing the calls correctly; assist in clerical needs of the ISP team; assist with providing counter service and act as relieve to the other Immigrant Services Worker. 1 ?0 ?. o q* f

• Answer incoming calls and route calls to appropriate person
7 c U/ _$ ]8 ?7 V, Z+ w• Take and deliver messages to the staff of ASSIST/ A- e0 F" w* r5 I( \$ K! w
• Welcome clients and direct them appropriately
( D, t- O M' Y$ @8 J9 P& c• Order and maintain office supplies for the front counter2 W9 T3 z: P' z0 {: ^8 b6 s" T1 ^
• Perform general clerical functions such as photocopying and faxing documents
1 I3 i# P" v7 K! _5 l/ R3 G• Provide assistance to immigrants and clients seeking settlement related services in the capacity of immigrant services worker/ K$ y/ V0 C7 T: U- v8 [
• Maintain and update the information boards with upcoming events0 E6 e6 ?; o4 P" S1 i7 u$ i4 r, F
• Assist the ISP team in reminding clients to appointments of workshops or other events

& V7 Y% S2 z# x q! O& n& i9 D! d4 K• Attend meeting and training to stay current on immigrant settlement matters$ e4 ^) o6 E" m( O ^
• Maintain front counter service files+ a# o4 ~! B6 t- P( I
• Perform general office duties as assigned

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:
7 w7 L! Y- `1 I/ ~• Excellent communication (verbal and listening) on phone and in person
8 }8 Y9 E+ x C3 \/ f' l- }• Fluent in Mandarin and Cantonese as an asset

• Ability to work with newcomers and general clients+ I; G; P9 ]' C1 o8 W
• Microsoft Office operation skills- Excel, Word, Outlook% X& d- f6 ~# @' Y
• Ability to address multi-task and set priority appropriately * o8 z L+ X0 x' W3 e# o3 @! w% Z
• Sensitive to the needs of immigrants with multicultural backgrounds$ d8 F) G6 C4 h" W. R. m8 l& B
• Ability to work effectively in a fast paced office environment

• 2-4 years of office and clerical experience 4 p# R' \' x& d6 X U' c( V
• Receptionist or customer service experience in a fast paced environment
% [6 p8 u8 G" h" ^4 m& r& C• Demonstrate workplace maturity and professionalism/ {7 K) u: m$ @5 i3 O/ \1 o
• Ability to work well under minimal supervision$ j' f4 }8 K3 a
