Within the broad guidelines of Integrated Service Program funded by Citizenship and Immigration Canada and Alberta Human Services, the Receptionist/Immigrant Services Worker will answer a multi-line phone calls professional, politely, and directing the calls correctly; assist in clerical needs of the ISP team; assist with providing counter service and act as relieve to the other Immigrant Services Worker. $ _% e$ {: n& \! \* P+ h

. E- A1 A: L4 x• Answer incoming calls and route calls to appropriate person
" }0 F! K g I/ Q3 e• Take and deliver messages to the staff of ASSIST
# ]9 f3 r& o. Z& k( o% Y# y _• Welcome clients and direct them appropriately
% m/ @5 e- a1 B) q) Y• Order and maintain office supplies for the front counter! e" o3 q- {0 F
• Perform general clerical functions such as photocopying and faxing documents1 b3 l/ L& Y6 a& m7 i7 s; m
• Provide assistance to immigrants and clients seeking settlement related services in the capacity of immigrant services worker
& e7 K: r: U9 S* e• Maintain and update the information boards with upcoming events! h1 t3 D5 ]& _1 F2 w O/ |
• Assist the ISP team in reminding clients to appointments of workshops or other events
. } R0 m& L. J# Z4 I G• Keep the reception area tidy and clean! a. N$ X$ }* i, Q
• Attend meeting and training to stay current on immigrant settlement matters

• Perform general office duties as assigned9 i. L6 q* M: C
• Report to ISP Program Manager

+ p& ~+ O2 B2 l3 \1 c& d• Excellent communication (verbal and listening) on phone and in person' [& y( k# v6 q# h8 D
• Fluent in Mandarin and Cantonese as an asset
7 z0 _# Z; V' F' v% M• Good English writing and oral communication skills" q l9 o( p) H, p* Y& j
• Ability to work with newcomers and general clients
: @ y; [, |- B" [$ b• Microsoft Office operation skills- Excel, Word, Outlook
* M5 C0 V% |: t1 P* D9 G4 `• Ability to address multi-task and set priority appropriately

• Knowledge of immigrant services

Qualifications:
$ N8 \( Q) F# j) ~* }• 2-4 years of office and clerical experience
2 Q: ~; v& a# R/ w- j: q0 _• Receptionist or customer service experience in a fast paced environment
: o8 N, }, ]9 \* E, |( p• Demonstrate workplace maturity and professionalism
7 i% l, v6 f2 |6 n, }• Ability to work well under minimal supervision) R- Y; n# y$ K4 w, e+ }
