before, and my style of shooting will be enhanced rather than compromised,

When I’m shooting beauty and jewelry in the studio or fashion on location,
) n. {# V8 Q0 Z36.3 megapixels changes the industry standard: in image quality, dynamic/ L [5 z) z8 s% n
range, color rendering and the final print. The detail from the D800 produces7 z( U w: J- r8 ^: G2 _2 ~5 ?/ _
the look of a medium-format camera, but gives me the feel and response of a) n9 z: W" W% |. p9 `3 a! T
D-SLR. The improvements in rendering skin tone and specular highlights, as
) T7 J& b2 R% Q" o y2 Rwell as fabric and hair detail are superior to anything that has come before.% R3 F. G& B' n. ~- K5 `# F" k
Autofocus quickly tracks models in motion. Nikon’s 91K-pixel RGB sensor: d p" k5 ]1 r8 n0 d P% P
has noticeable improvements in metering accuracy, while the larger LCD is
, }- [0 r$ s: }/ x9 X5 r/ feasier to read. The camera body feels solid and ergonomically simple, while, V+ l9 M' N) I1 Z
also feeling lighter and smaller than previous high-resolution Nikons. New4 G" g, d8 z# Z. \; W; N* O
cameras always inspire me to test and explore, and all the useful features
3 n7 Z+ `: \+ O+ g/ ~! min such a compact package will open huge creative possibilities for my highquality* t/ r1 m _& d2 e2 [( {9 [
prints and video.
; u5 X. ^0 j1 e5 }To me, cameras are more like paintbrushes than technology. The goal is
. M; J& U" ?4 S9 D! wnot megapixels or technique but the image, and while camera models d1 Q6 O8 `0 Q+ r' T3 B4 ]
are important, they are not the be-all or end-all. But after a lifetime using
* ^/ y- D. K {countless cameras, I have found a new best friend. It was not love at first
: m* p' D. A5 l6 M$ ysight. The sharpness and detail were initially intimidating, exposing my flaws6 S' ?9 g `( @
like never before. Subtle camera movements showed and differences of5 r$ H- x- L3 S" v6 I6 f7 D
acuity between aperture choices on various lenses were apparent. But now I
4 F8 Q+ \$ {) E* mam enthralled with this technology. Why? Because the images almost feel as
1 y( \' u# a7 Athough they were made with a 4x5 view camera! Special features like timelapse z4 Z0 h- |+ H% @: a: e$ U
photography and the improved HD video quality and flexibility also add+ d. O+ R4 U( x: ?( D d/ n# v/ F
tremendously to the camera’s personality. After spending a month with the. p0 |' ^+ Y$ j& ~8 q& }
D800, I’ll never be the same again. Perhaps the best compliment I can express, c! b3 J$ E" Y1 x. J5 ^% Q" F# T
is that now I will think differently about the images I make.! F9 h+ z# Z3 @2 D
As a modern architectural photographer I am always looking for a lightweight,

architectural photography. From my hands-on experience I found that they" |* D( \$ H# e* z
perfectly match with the newly invented system and produce breathtakingly
* T; B* B: V8 J8 Y8 l% Q7 f3 jclean, clear and sharp files. This camera gives me the photographic flexibility
