Senior C#.net / SQL consultant. 1yr contract starting April 2nd, 2012.

-        Help define technical architecture and develop strategies for incorporating new
7 i: d+ p& W( b$ F9 A4 vtechnology;
-        Identify where new technology can be used to meet business needs;
-        Review requirement and design documents to ensure follow department standards;
4 o1 i+ p& o1 [-        Participate in peer reviews;
3 D6 E7 A0 }! J& ]# Z5 q  [4 M& @-        Create and Maintain technical documentation;
-        Programming planned enhancements;
0 |5 Z2 \' F( I-        Testing system changes;
-        Ensuring changes to the application meet the department standards and follow the
; ^% ~+ B3 ]8 o" |. Pdepartment’s change management processes;
& G/ I. n) t! e- Z" d5 f9 p-        Providing Microsoft SQL database support for improving application performance;
' t) s! J7 I) g6 y! C-        Very good technical skills to respond to problems from other developers;
+ m* ^7 g# k+ V+ r-        Providing on call support after regular business hours as required;
+ Y, o7 b+ E& K" J# x' j0 g! Y* z& {8 \-        Lead short term projects;
-        Effective presentation skills are required to communicate solutions;
-        Excellent written communication skills;
$ Y8 B9 R5 j$ q& Y8 W-        Knowledge of the Systems Development methodology is required to ensure
effective delivery of service; and
-        Understanding of project management.

A. Mandatory Requirements
(a) Experience defining technical architecture and developing strategies
8 |! }3 c4 E( w  ~% m. b" nfor incorporating new technology.

- O- Y; I' ?- Y5 W0 A(b)        Experience developing multi-user/ n-tier/ Object Oriented applications using C#.net. (Maximum of two years of VB.net or JAVA experience will be considered as equivalent)
- ~9 J+ Q8 z# C; s6 T
! X  g" \, g5 h; ^(c)        Experience developing SQL objects for an MS SQL Server. (Maximum of two years of Oracle experience will be considered as equivalent).

* P1 d5 f9 a+ P/ F+ o" e0 ^' F" C(d) Experience creating and maintaining technical documentation with formal change management procedures.

(e) Experience working in an environment with a team of 3 or more developers

(f) Experience reviewing Requirement and Design documentation for quality to ensure application standards are being met. Creating and working with design documents/user requirements (software artifacts).

(g) Project experience with formal development methodology.

(h) Experience with one or more of the following tools:
! W) {6 A& x9 x3 F$ n+ T, W' H4 E& V- Infragistics controls
- IBatis.NET, or MyBatis.NET
- Nunit
- Crystal Reports
- Pdflib
- Microsoft Project Portfolio Server

(i)        A minimum of 6 years combined related experience and education as stated below. Additional education and\or experience is preferred. Combined education and experience:
- A related University degree and 2 years experience; or
- A related two year diploma from a recognized post-secondary institution and 4 years experience; or
- A related one year certificate from a recognized post-secondary institution and 5 years experience.
