Shifts: 8am -5pm, with a one hour lunch break

Job Description:
•        Review damage report and estimates of repair cost and plan work to be performed
) g: C* V: s8 ?  e6 E; X. H•        Repair and replace front end components, body components, doors and frame and underbody components
6 W' }2 G3 {' B, U% T•        Hammer out dents, buckles and other defects using blocks and hammers
/ n! Z+ \8 t/ t8 Y•        Operate soldering equipment or use plastic filler to fill holes, dents and seams
* x7 ?2 C5 u! B•        Remove damaged fenders, panels and grills using wrenches and cutting torch and bolt or weld replacement parts into place
•        Straighten bent frames using frame and underbody pulling and anchoring equipment
7 q# g* S1 J" e( _( S4 P% Y•        File, grind and sand repaired body surfaces using hand and power tools
•        Mask and tape auto body surfaces in preparation for painting
•        Mix paint, blend and match colors
* |6 C% J; u+ f7 M- ^5 y•        Apply primers and repaint surfaces using brush or spray guns
•        Repair and replace glass components such as windshields, windows and sunroofs
. W1 H: {: F5 a) p9 }! t•        Repair or replace interior components, such as seat frame assembly, carpets and floorboard insulation
3 Y$ l% S/ C, w  E# C# P  i•        Inspect repaired vehicles and test drive vehicles for proper handling
5 L1 T# I0 f2 g  K# wEducation and Experience Requirements:
. E( W- L$ b, d' @; B•        Completion of secondary school is required
•        Completion of a three- to four-year motor vehicle body repair apprenticeship program

A combination of over three years of work experience in the motor vehicle body repair trade
+ w; V* I  w  ~- `9 z) m•        Alberta Trade certification for motor vehicle body repair (metal and paint) is compulsory
