Job Description:
) }. j7 [3 \6 f3 }2 V% R! |•        Review damage report and estimates of repair cost and plan work to be performed
) G0 l: o3 W1 o+ b  U•        Repair and replace front end components, body components, doors and frame and underbody components
•        Hammer out dents, buckles and other defects using blocks and hammers
2 D, Y4 d; G6 h) a•        Operate soldering equipment or use plastic filler to fill holes, dents and seams
/ c0 ~* h- A' @2 v+ z•        Remove damaged fenders, panels and grills using wrenches and cutting torch and bolt or weld replacement parts into place
1 G& i7 [+ b4 U4 R5 t: J•        Straighten bent frames using frame and underbody pulling and anchoring equipment
1 c* @/ `5 u; u•        File, grind and sand repaired body surfaces using hand and power tools
•        Mask and tape auto body surfaces in preparation for painting
•        Mix paint, blend and match colors
7 l; t- Z; M* k6 z•        Apply primers and repaint surfaces using brush or spray guns
•        Repair and replace glass components such as windshields, windows and sunroofs
6 u  {( K# s( H9 n) _•        Repair or replace interior components, such as seat frame assembly, carpets and floorboard insulation
- v2 g( D4 ]) p$ _•        Inspect repaired vehicles and test drive vehicles for proper handling
Education and Experience Requirements:
•        Completion of secondary school is required
1 g7 w, U5 k7 X0 M•        Completion of a three- to four-year motor vehicle body repair apprenticeship program
; R0 y9 q. X$ [) A# _. ^' sor
5 G* a" T0 m, G/ I1 N, r* pA combination of over three years of work experience in the motor vehicle body repair trade
2 \# e2 r' _0 m, r•        Alberta Trade certification for motor vehicle body repair (metal and paint) is compulsory
