Scope and Purpose of Job
Employee would be responsible for handling all technical support for Lab Equipment systems (both hardware & software), to include lab testing & dyeing, dispensing, sample conditioning, and lighting cabinets. Work as the technical liaison with 3rd party suppliers.  Work very closely with Product Manager on new product development for all laboratory equipment.

! \! p& ?1 b. o5 ]  x% ?•        Be the global primary contact for support for Lab Equipment Systems and liaise with 3rd party supplier on any issues.
5 Z$ W" @0 Q  c•        Answering all technical questions concerning mechanical functions and software operations.
- }( \3 G% o( o& K& D2 @4 X•        Assist with troubleshooting ideas on technical and software problems
o        Test all new patch versions of software prior to release
•        Assist where needed in application questions.
4 b# R' R, ^3 }  H3 A•        Check all technical documentation for correctness prior to field distribution.
o        New parts and replacement parts and installation procedures
  a1 _) C, l" W) n" Co        Translation to Chinese and other languages if needed
•        Track and report all warranty failures
o        Make monthly report to Product Manager and 3rd party supplier.
o        Recommend remedy to improve product quality and design.
•        Assist Product Manager in all new product development plans for all Lab Equipment products.  In some cases act as the Project Manager for new product development.
* X$ G; X7 e- w" t: h. z: y" do        Run field Beta test sites and any new idea testing and make reports
o        Assist in information gather for any new product idea.
o        Assist in writing and new product specification
o        Point of expert contact for implementation of features/functions.
1 s4 @0 ^. T+ D! y. Qo        Act as technical applications expert on development team.
•        Assist in Sales support & training.
•        Responsible for any technical training needed for products, either given by the supplier or actually give the training in person.  To use both Web-based and on-site training tools.
o        In rare cases where no other solution exist to travel to customer site to solve technical issues.

•        Must have an extensive background in textile laboratory equipment uses and workflow process.  Understanding of textile dyeing processes.
# K6 [3 d  {  V7 }# C•        Background knowledge of dispensers and software
) {( S) i6 p) n/ m- _$ W! O( d•        Proficient in software use and writing.
•        Excellent communicator both verbally and in written reports.
•        Ability to travel worldwide.
