Scope and Purpose of Job
. g& Z, b) `% }: xEmployee would be responsible for handling all technical support for Lab Equipment systems (both hardware & software), to include lab testing & dyeing, dispensing, sample conditioning, and lighting cabinets. Work as the technical liaison with 3rd party suppliers.  Work very closely with Product Manager on new product development for all laboratory equipment.
8 u6 D' t0 Z' w. zMajor Responsibilities and Accountabilities
) N6 D4 _+ |* q) M& @•        Be the global primary contact for support for Lab Equipment Systems and liaise with 3rd party supplier on any issues.
7 M5 {# L+ c# }" B: x" K•        Answering all technical questions concerning mechanical functions and software operations.
+ m& A# b- a/ w* W. _5 i0 f6 {•        Assist with troubleshooting ideas on technical and software problems
o        Test all new patch versions of software prior to release
•        Assist where needed in application questions.
•        Check all technical documentation for correctness prior to field distribution.
$ V/ ~8 j' [8 f* Jo        New parts and replacement parts and installation procedures
o        Translation to Chinese and other languages if needed

o        Make monthly report to Product Manager and 3rd party supplier.

•        Assist Product Manager in all new product development plans for all Lab Equipment products.  In some cases act as the Project Manager for new product development.
! J1 h+ }9 T" ~$ r! U- B5 lo        Run field Beta test sites and any new idea testing and make reports
7 U% A( [( u# S$ k7 @5 \% D$ U3 ?o        Assist in information gather for any new product idea.
$ r0 e4 ^* y) I/ uo        Assist in writing and new product specification
o        Point of expert contact for implementation of features/functions.
& }; |! ]; H; v5 [4 _5 u/ ]o        Act as technical applications expert on development team.
. U; E  a; ?5 X0 Y" B. h" i•        Assist in Sales support & training.
4 q1 }4 g8 n2 }7 p& j•        Responsible for any technical training needed for products, either given by the supplier or actually give the training in person.  To use both Web-based and on-site training tools.
o        In rare cases where no other solution exist to travel to customer site to solve technical issues.

5+ years working as technical specialist for textile laboratory equipment. Expereince with textile laboratory dispensers
! I. [+ {! z3 a5 R: ~8 f& jList of Skills/Qualifications       
•        Must have an extensive background in textile laboratory equipment uses and workflow process.  Understanding of textile dyeing processes.
3 _* z. c, R: y7 v0 H•        Background knowledge of dispensers and software
•        Proficient in software use and writing.
•        Excellent communicator both verbally and in written reports.
! \) N# x/ E7 M8 Z  B3 b•        Ability to travel worldwide.
