5 j0 A2 L- F. d) _9 n* T6 m' v% SPosition Summary: Within the broad guidelines of Integrated Service Program funded by Citizenship and Immigration Canada, and Alberta Employment and Immigration, the Receptionist/Immigrant Services Worker will answer a multi-line phone calls professional, politely, and directing the calls correctly; assist in clerical needs of the ISP team; assist with providing counter service and act as relieve to the other Immigrant Services Worker.

• Answer incoming calls and route calls to appropriate person* l. F o5 Y' t) A1 b
• Take and deliver messages to the staff of ASSIST
T8 u' [$ D3 d; M1 h+ P• Welcome clients and direct them appropriately/ \' F. C# {* o. D8 e+ `
• Order and maintain office supplies for the front counter0 s( `: N0 D) n' j) h
• Oversee the front counter when other front counter staff are on holiday or in trainings5 H$ ^" o7 N1 h' Q* ?! J
• Perform general clerical functions such as photocopying and faxing documents( b- U: ]5 \) B Q6 N
• Provide assistance to immigrants and clients seeking settlement related services in the capacity of immigrant services worker
+ K3 o2 d1 `$ {• Maintain and update the information boards with upcoming events
& L3 C% z# p) i' ?$ I5 U4 i7 N• Assist the ISP team in reminding clients to appointments of workshops or other events; _* I! p7 z& E; A& u. o& Z
• Keep the reception area tidy and clean; p( w& W7 }8 |! Z! A
• Attend meeting and training to stay current on immigrant settlement matters5 A! A5 v( Q I% {: Z9 C
• Maintain front counter service files

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:9 t& `6 w+ O# Q l9 P# Q& v
• Excellent communication (verbal and listening) on phone and in person0 g) m, K: w( F5 M
• Fluent in Mandarin and Cantonese as an asset1 {5 d7 {7 ?& w
• Good English writing and oral communication skills
: V7 U4 o3 q3 b5 {• Ability to work with newcomers and general clients2 D* F" C7 A) l/ G" H3 ]5 }( ^
• Microsoft Office operation skills- Excel, Word, Outlook
& b/ g( P3 w7 p- j+ C• Ability to address multi-task and set priority appropriately
' j" m9 K# b5 `• Sensitive to the needs of immigrants with multicultural backgrounds

• Knowledge of immigrant services

• 2-4 years of office and clerical experience
) A! i( h& `. B. w+ u• Receptionist or customer service experience in a fast paced environment9 D4 m6 O5 }5 }' A
• Demonstrate workplace maturity and professionalism$ _8 w0 C$ C# X" I
• Ability to work well under minimal supervision
