Position Summary: Within the broad guidelines of Integrated Service Program funded by Citizenship and Immigration Canada, and Alberta Employment and Immigration, the Receptionist/Immigrant Services Worker will answer a multi-line phone calls professional, politely, and directing the calls correctly; assist in clerical needs of the ISP team; assist with providing counter service and act as relieve to the other Immigrant Services Worker. 1 G2 B$ k, F9 G& B5 I) {) i3 y9 A
z- C0 `) {3 D. ^% }3 sKey Responsibilities:; D) [' l6 c1 B
• Answer incoming calls and route calls to appropriate person
* q8 B1 x4 v& B D6 V% k• Take and deliver messages to the staff of ASSIST/ M1 R' ^6 ^8 L7 U* r5 c$ s) B
• Welcome clients and direct them appropriately5 Y5 h$ z5 O( r8 e1 N
• Order and maintain office supplies for the front counter" }8 f9 o+ {7 C; |5 o v5 ^* a
• Oversee the front counter when other front counter staff are on holiday or in trainings9 h9 R" J7 z. J, ?# \
• Perform general clerical functions such as photocopying and faxing documents
! |7 u- r( e$ _/ D$ }; s+ ~2 N6 F1 e( D• Provide assistance to immigrants and clients seeking settlement related services in the capacity of immigrant services worker d( Q5 ~' @* E' ~$ N, ?: s0 _( b
• Maintain and update the information boards with upcoming events) E* E1 t% q! P( {
• Assist the ISP team in reminding clients to appointments of workshops or other events- z' C8 N* w% K* c
• Keep the reception area tidy and clean
: `9 k7 z. m# i" f• Attend meeting and training to stay current on immigrant settlement matters

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:# z2 G& h. C. O w. g' M
• Excellent communication (verbal and listening) on phone and in person
( h2 @: @+ _5 }: `• Fluent in Mandarin and Cantonese as an asset9 |% R8 s6 ^1 H4 N
• Good English writing and oral communication skills
, i8 X# \8 z1 Q9 ?+ U• Ability to work with newcomers and general clients
( \& N# H! @1 Q" K• Microsoft Office operation skills- Excel, Word, Outlook
; `2 F: l9 Y, R7 @4 W• Ability to address multi-task and set priority appropriately

• Ability to work effectively in a fast paced office environment

Qualifications:6 R, o" J/ f) C2 G6 J
• 2-4 years of office and clerical experience
1 H0 S/ [7 d3 o1 k j; ]• Receptionist or customer service experience in a fast paced environment8 B) s1 l2 q+ y: ]# l" C
• Demonstrate workplace maturity and professionalism8 p+ x1 H/ y2 S' k- }. \
• Ability to work well under minimal supervision
