$ d) r# \6 g/ X) F* [Position Summary: Within the broad guidelines of Integrated Service Program funded by Citizenship and Immigration Canada, and Alberta Employment and Immigration, the Receptionist/Immigrant Services Worker will answer a multi-line phone calls professional, politely, and directing the calls correctly; assist in clerical needs of the ISP team; assist with providing counter service and act as relieve to the other Immigrant Services Worker.

• Answer incoming calls and route calls to appropriate person& P" m3 K1 Y, f* e- c2 |9 S$ B
• Take and deliver messages to the staff of ASSIST; I" f4 l! a% N# E/ h7 J
• Welcome clients and direct them appropriately
( o$ w/ V) a( g3 Z& z( g• Order and maintain office supplies for the front counter6 L6 W4 B' b; v) w2 k; r: y2 v
• Oversee the front counter when other front counter staff are on holiday or in trainings& M4 f' ?8 u/ e2 t
• Perform general clerical functions such as photocopying and faxing documents& @* P, C3 I* x
• Provide assistance to immigrants and clients seeking settlement related services in the capacity of immigrant services worker

7 p$ b# c, D8 w/ I• Assist the ISP team in reminding clients to appointments of workshops or other events

• Maintain front counter service files7 L7 T% G; d4 V6 F0 i
• Perform general office duties as assigned7 }2 v. X+ q$ A, ?% n- ^
• Report to ISP Program Manager9 O1 z' H+ w& {5 y; e
5 o- [# q9 v& S F# j1 VKnowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:
_8 R# o6 O0 G• Excellent communication (verbal and listening) on phone and in person. b' s0 ?1 H/ r4 O5 X
• Fluent in Mandarin and Cantonese as an asset) y7 \7 Q; z B; K7 n- b8 [. l
• Good English writing and oral communication skills
% r0 z' F; R0 X v+ e' i" G• Ability to work with newcomers and general clients
+ l; ?$ x( N- M. R$ R• Microsoft Office operation skills- Excel, Word, Outlook8 q3 v" u! h/ t, U& e% Z0 I
• Ability to address multi-task and set priority appropriately
; J u. n( U2 k• Sensitive to the needs of immigrants with multicultural backgrounds/ g! f2 ^* s! P3 E( G7 T! x% s% X
• Ability to work effectively in a fast paced office environment: o* ^8 C; H5 L& i* ~
• Knowledge of immigrant services, m6 j6 j. m' N
Qualifications:/ Q' ]9 v8 L! j
• 2-4 years of office and clerical experience
# R7 Y2 g, t1 B# K; K( Q• Receptionist or customer service experience in a fast paced environment
: }) l/ r: j5 k$ a• Demonstrate workplace maturity and professionalism" w0 n) z; |, j# W
• Ability to work well under minimal supervision2 |. ?, {) n6 E, D7 x! u2 F
