Position Summary: Within the broad guidelines of Integrated Service Program funded by Citizenship and Immigration Canada, and Alberta Employment and Immigration, the Receptionist/Immigrant Services Worker will answer a multi-line phone calls professional, politely, and directing the calls correctly; assist in clerical needs of the ISP team; assist with providing counter service and act as relieve to the other Immigrant Services Worker. * U: d7 [- U" o/ g' S

• Answer incoming calls and route calls to appropriate person
8 ]# S) o) d+ B0 _" D• Take and deliver messages to the staff of ASSIST* \3 O: k' j" [" _
• Welcome clients and direct them appropriately
1 v& z2 V5 k7 |" _+ o* y• Order and maintain office supplies for the front counter8 t D: O& A6 }
• Oversee the front counter when other front counter staff are on holiday or in trainings
% m7 Y) R. o, X# Q1 m• Perform general clerical functions such as photocopying and faxing documents7 t1 H7 ]; z: @# O" n( e8 v6 n1 h
• Provide assistance to immigrants and clients seeking settlement related services in the capacity of immigrant services worker% X* L* E! B2 r. D. @1 \& [
• Maintain and update the information boards with upcoming events( B. Z+ y/ R |+ R& r5 ^
• Assist the ISP team in reminding clients to appointments of workshops or other events
+ \) ]6 | i; R/ h" ]• Keep the reception area tidy and clean

• Maintain front counter service files

• Excellent communication (verbal and listening) on phone and in person
$ H) [9 I1 E8 r( l" h. H# T• Fluent in Mandarin and Cantonese as an asset
" w, t% \# m0 v, r. S• Good English writing and oral communication skills& B( { [* a3 p) c0 y9 q8 E
• Ability to work with newcomers and general clients
& a/ y3 O3 h' W3 E7 U• Microsoft Office operation skills- Excel, Word, Outlook
' H6 v1 c. ^! \- `( t# b• Ability to address multi-task and set priority appropriately 8 g2 H+ f% W5 A+ F
• Sensitive to the needs of immigrants with multicultural backgrounds

• Knowledge of immigrant services+ H9 S9 ]! m9 D, p1 Z+ L
Qualifications:& n$ U6 ^6 @1 E3 z4 a
• 2-4 years of office and clerical experience
6 D9 @) J8 ?" J+ Y! h% ]! J• Receptionist or customer service experience in a fast paced environment. A, N, s& F; ^2 E. f% e# x
• Demonstrate workplace maturity and professionalism
2 ^! [- u% ^4 F. I) x. }+ C• Ability to work well under minimal supervision4 }$ ` [" e. h& P! m/ P
