Position:        Youth Leader
3 j* m; I  J! O: H: g( ZDuration of Commitment:Summer T.A.N.G. Youth Program
/ e) j" }/ l8 E; yCamp 1 – July 04 – July 14
Camp 2 – July 31 – August 11 (must attend an overnight camp on August 10 to 11)
2 x- }. i! L4 g3 J% O" sTime:0915 to 1600(Regular Program Time)
% u2 M% `# T! e3 P/ Q0 P- t; Q*might work in other time in some specific days
% Y% ?5 y6 G% A7 d+ _Place: ASSIST Community Services Centre

Duties:
To assist the T.A.N.G. Youth Program Coordinator by providing clerical and/or activities support in the followings:

 Distribution of promotion flyers to schools, churches, communities and relevant social agencies and professionals
# k2 k/ h- P. H; L6 x6 p) z Take attendance if available
 Provide positive modelling to youth
3 [8 M1 @- V0 R: ` Facilitate or assist in ice-breaking games and/or other activities
! M, f6 B2 c$ p% Z( R Facilitate or assist in small group discussions
+ H! H% D3 l5 t. D Research activities related to the session’s topic upon advice of the Program Coordinator
 Watch out on the safety of youth either in centre or fieldtrips
9 W. ^( i; v: H Report to the Program Coordinator for any doubts or concerns and/or any troubleshoot behaviour
 Act according to the guidance or direction of the Program Coordinator
. [( s' m- u! @ Must follow guidelines or procedures stipulated in the manual/training
 Attend debriefing sessions/ongoing training
 Assist in program planning/design
& W, v1 `7 E4 Q Any other program related tasks as assigned by the Program Coordinator

Attitude/Skills Requirements

 Mature, sensible, patient, organized, willing to take and follow instruction
 Be open and willing to initiate and maintain a positive relationship with youths in the program, or youth who is matched on an one-on-one basis
 A team player, can get along well with other staff & volunteers
 Concentrate efforts in the group session or activities over other distractions
 Able to work independently with minimum supervision
 Value building on strengths in children, youth and families
6 h2 n0 O; G1 X Able to get along with youth and/or youth who might at risk
 Certain proficiency in English and Chinese
