1. It's cool.0 M8 I$ K6 e9 Y6 F

(可指人或事物)也就是 something good or acceptable;situation is under control;being calm, gentle, courteous or good-looking;meet teen's standard.
6 ^; i/ q# \* [7 V, ^    That's cool;he is cool;this is cool.   b3 w7 j4 ?* L2 |7 l/ N" \0 O
    Skydiving (或surfing) is cool.(跳伞或冲浪运动很不错)
6 U( q2 ]) Z# K  R$ l* o- T' E' `4 N# S" ~
主词可用任何人称的单复数 (I, we, they 等),动词可用 verb to be 的任何时态 (is, was, were, will be, have been等)。
3 t2 O! u) h* b    She (He) was cool in the past.
, s, X6 h2 v, P3 J$ k    That's a cool T-shirt.(好看的运动衫) 4 c8 Z5 x# q+ _8 t
    He (she) is a cool person.(文雅礼貌的人) 6 K" Z% o6 t5 |. F$ w9 A5 ]

& W( r* V- @( {( O' j8 u但是如果说:Are you cool? 假如说: 8 l' O( A, G& D! |& U
She looks as cool as a cucumber. 又是恭维语,是说她很 calm and charming; not
* H% A5 E  W( _. r5 p    emotional.
9 ~9 S1 A* O# i: N& Q$ W2 ?/ [    (注:许多华人把 cool 译成「很酷」) $ v- U7 f* H4 U3 ?7 U, Q% X

; |* ~3 F# D$ d5 z; [( b2. Are you trippin'?# D$ ?/ p3 G# y! @
' S* I& R, }9 J) v6 @
这个字是现在分词当形容词用,是指行为异乎寻常,也许受到吸毒或喝酒的影响,而显得神魂颠倒、奇形怪状(to get high on drug such as LSD),也就是说:要不是受到药、酒的影响,你为什 显得这样古怪呢?(Are you under any influence of drug or alcoholic? Why are you so crazy and bizarre?)
- E) Z6 u8 v1 X' `6 R6 W    They are trippin'. (= tripping)
- J. L7 v* U1 C4 S    She (he) is trippin'. 7 H& K% N7 S- J7 p( N; e
Mr. A must be trippin'. 7 N# J1 h% Q: Y2 a1 Y
/ P) I6 d+ g' ]3 c! K 0 M) C8 E, z6 Y) i
3. He is a nerd
8 Z2 |& F0 ?7 B( n! R: v( Y. w( C" z4 f' x) c7 T# U
(A person always buries his nose in books, but not good at social situations.)
- n4 W* c* L0 @2 ^7 ^. h( \# K& [    He used to be a nerd in high school $ E4 I% V8 v9 a% m6 Q3 y; Z' l

" b$ y1 b3 x0 k; ^5 d' q9 n6 n4. Yo baby
4 s4 K! [: S) @; c( g' A3 E
(He thinks she is pretty and attractive, so he wants to speak to her.),也就是找话题,想要「打开话匣」。(to use as a form of opening line or pick-up line or to begin a greeting; try to know her or date her) 如果说:
# O, q( r8 m# B. k7 p* @8 h- c- ]* a% r    Yo baby, are you trippin'?
May I help you with something? I think I have met you somewhere before.
; Z( j9 x. B" \2 y    Hey, hey, hey, what's going on?“what is going on?”就是年轻黑人打招呼的用语 (a form of greeting or open statement) 或 Hey, hey, hey, are you going to the movie?(帅哥,你是去看电影吗?) ' Y+ s% x9 K" ~& g

# x! v0 ]0 ^: h: p; s# Q5. She is a ho
, r+ X! F7 |% m/ F+ X+ v
(a girl or woman gives sex freely without charge),也就是说:She is very loose. 或 She is a loose woman (girl)。 ho 也可用复数: + A1 x; @6 I$ @  L0 H* ~' [( D
    They are (were) hos. - f& u, k1 \' X  H3 o, ^7 c
There are quite a few hos in high schools. (a girl or woman is paid for sex.)
3 w- `0 H* Y# h* `- ~  ?) Y/ p) v3 R" T* ^+ W; ?
6. Catch you later!& {& C& Z! f3 W' [- b  T6 I" x6 D
7 D  h7 B& V. e0 e' ^6 p4 n& T& I  n
(a form to say“good乡bye”) 也就是说:现在没有时间与你交谈,以後再谈吧!(I don't have time to talk with you now, but we can talk later.) catch 後面,也可用其他人称代名词(him, her, them 等)
# T) r# b! N, ]5 Q有时年轻小伙子也用:I am off. I am leaving now; I'll talk to you again.
' I; o6 K3 s" m5 F9 e(我要走了,再谈吧!)
