Job Description
5 ]# |& H7 ?1 J* B2 l- promote the Centre’s ISP to community organizations, businesses, educational institutions, etc. by in-person presentations, phone or sending relevant information
; ^7 h; [& G/ t3 `- promote ISP in various media: newspaper, radio, newsletter, etc.
# C0 S/ i; U' j& ?$ v* ^ [+ b, u- develop or update brochures, pamphlets, information packages, etc. for ISP
- U" _( S7 h$ t0 o- provide support to ISP staff
i3 ^( `2 B6 x' ]- recruit new members to the Newcomers Club and maintain existing members
8 Z3 V- \; p9 b$ ~/ o- promote, organize and coordinate the Newcomers Club’s activities' J5 w: f; Y. T7 h
- outreach in different areas of the city where new immigrants are concentrated
! R7 `7 c: z$ R9 ?1 P- attend meetings relevant to ISP and outreach work to advocate issues and concerns of new immigrants
% \( ~. `( B* I/ K6 y7 }/ W: v- adapt to a flexible working schedule to accommodate the program’s goals! H0 h+ Z' L. Y8 F: u
- fulfill the goals and objectives of ISP as contracted by funder6 q0 m8 H& z8 Z K+ ~
- report writing, data collection, conduct evaluations, budget management, etc.
7 P! l# T' j# h: W% \# M8 v+ ^- recruit and coordinate volunteers to assist with outreach activities
5 x- ~2 V& Z- [# U- assist with front counter services as needed and assigned

- O* y5 y: @3 U; IQualifications5 T, {+ ^' y* {
- degree/diploma in social work/human services and eligibility to be registered to area of discipline; relevant experience with community services/projects/immigrants will be considered* k* T& z w6 K2 C; j' q; U8 A
- knowledge of immigrant issues and concerns, community resources and services available7 ^& X% Q/ `2 _& P4 ~
- experience in working with community groups and community liaison workers
$ E. h* Z7 V; L* m& W- good computer skills using Microsoft and Chinese software
9 z. z+ |3 h$ J- speak & write Chinese (fluent in Mandarin preferred)' ^9 H2 d) G) }8 R2 }
- good interpersonal and people skills
