Working closely with the distribution and warehouse teams, this position is responsible for load planning and balancing for Southern and Central Alberta

JOB DUTIES:
        Balance loads efficiently in order to effectively utilize line haul trailer capacity;
$ ~% h/ X6 J( p, o. G) J        Load Tendering & Scheduling of Commodity Shipments
5 {$ E  @- F5 D! ~9 n5 i  w        Operational communication with all Transport providers
9 m2 A$ w. i# J, x+ {        Booking of delivery appointments when required
# J) m& V2 P! D: @0 k2 Y0 v        Make recommendations in order to maximize efficiencies and reduce costs
( b1 n& y! P2 c! r1 K( n! y$ @( P        Various reporting functions, including cube analysis, carrier performance & compliance, etc.
4 ]9 }5 G5 j, _9 p        Liaison between Route Settlement, Warehouse and Distribution;
* C# f" v: s# q2 z        Special assigned projects;
* ~0 F6 ~' z# \, b5 W" f, y        Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:
        High School diploma or equivalent;
8 V& O, e7 a0 u! |; |        Post secondary education related to business or accounting is an asset;
9 A1 `. _6 G& K' v/ g        Experience working in a Distribution or Warehouse setting;
4 Y. G* C- u6 g* S: W( z) \        Experience in the transportation industry an asset;
        Proficient computer skills, including Intermediate to advanced knowledge of Microsoft office (Word, Excel)
        Self motivated, with the ability to work under pressure and establish priorities.
/ W: {# Z) I; F: Z# t. E9 T6 O        Sound communication and interpersonal skills.
        Strong organizational and analytical skills.
        Dependability and proficiency in current position.
