JOB SUMMARY:
/ L7 X6 m0 X$ g/ P& }0 T& gWorking closely with the distribution and warehouse teams, this position is responsible for load planning and balancing for Southern and Central Alberta
; y1 M# o1 h" b
JOB DUTIES:
$ @$ a; J$ `/ n) W) e        Balance loads efficiently in order to effectively utilize line haul trailer capacity;
% B( g- P- T. r( e3 ^6 V0 v! [; A# G        Load Tendering & Scheduling of Commodity Shipments
* g5 f0 d7 R6 S) S9 a! q4 f        Operational communication with all Transport providers
        Booking of delivery appointments when required
        Make recommendations in order to maximize efficiencies and reduce costs
. C$ x# a* _+ t- ?        Various reporting functions, including cube analysis, carrier performance & compliance, etc.
! p3 K* u7 Q* x        Liaison between Route Settlement, Warehouse and Distribution;
$ H2 ]) }. c* a; p! ~$ C        Special assigned projects;
        Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:
- }$ n* Y/ |% P+ L0 L, Q: d3 @        High School diploma or equivalent;
7 E7 r  t9 l; U9 n( F. j! U. ^        Post secondary education related to business or accounting is an asset;
, D  ~$ ~! q, b4 E7 Q5 Q6 V; G. S        Experience working in a Distribution or Warehouse setting;
        Experience in the transportation industry an asset;
4 B  a& j" x) \        Proficient computer skills, including Intermediate to advanced knowledge of Microsoft office (Word, Excel)
+ G4 r7 u8 V/ b3 ?% N" k        Self motivated, with the ability to work under pressure and establish priorities.
0 E2 f, d/ L# w        Sound communication and interpersonal skills.
        Strong organizational and analytical skills.
        Dependability and proficiency in current position.
