 Continuously interact with all clients in the Resource Area to ensure that their job search requirements are being met.+ h4 W* a: J1 B+ l6 D0 A8 S" A5 ?% _; V
 Provide information regarding job search strategies and labour market information.& |! c% L* B4 ]
 Assist clients with resume and cover letter development, effective job search techniques, interview skills, and accessing the hidden job market after workshop completion.7 b4 t# r. G: r+ f/ x: q
 Maintain all resources in the Resource Room insuring that they are current and relevant.

 Be required to work flexible hours, with some evening and occasional weekend work

 Engage with and build a professional trusting relationship with newcomers, treating them with dignity and in line with the values of the Bredin Institute./ z$ j3 n, @4 _& U
 Support newcomers participation in the settlement program.

 Encourage independence and self determination in newcomers$ y9 n5 X* ^6 S5 A" G
 Work with newcomers in assessing their needs and a needs-based settlement plan.3 s( r- O3 @4 J. |) B# c8 g) N
 Liaise effectively with a range of service providers, both voluntary and statutory, in order to ensure services are available to newcomers.# f, ~1 s$ b# _! N, H$ q
 Accompany newcomers to other agencies and to act as advocate as necessary.

 Keep up-to-date all other administrative tasks as directed by the Program Co-ordinator.

 Deliver program overview to potential clients, as well as other interested parties.5 g. W- h4 D" M$ i
 Screen and assess clients’ skills and abilities through a workability assessment.

 Provide referral information on other services that may be more suitable for the client.

Service Manager

 Ensure that participants have access to the required supports to successfully complete their Service Plan0 M& ~  K0 A1 Z6 N
 Assist clients in maintaining a job or in identifying barriers/issues that keep clients from obtaining/maintaining employment4 b& b. `3 T* |( m
 Assist clients with obtaining required documentation for working in their profession in Canada, r! a, z) c$ ~8 j0 r# g5 |
 Develop and maintain knowledge of current programs and services available for participants
5 ]; r; W0 H4 {7 Z6 R$ l/ G% D Complete participant reviews with the participants
6 j/ ^( ^7 v+ j) d% F Complete 90 and 180 day follow up with client after training completion
) n  H+ A, ~5 Q0 }5 J$ V Perform other duties as assigned by manager/coordinator  Y  u* i1 _1 v7 j
