We are currently recruiting for an intermediate level C# analyst for one of our provincial government clients. It is a 1-year contract with possible extensions, and work location is Edmonton, Alberta.

Reporting directly to the Team Leader and indirectly to the Associate Director of Royalty/Tenure/Communication Applications, the Systems Analyst(s) will perform requirements gathering, maintenance, enhancement, development, and testing tasks on existing in house desktop and/or web applications. The prospective Resource requires a broad knowledge of object oriented technologies, C# programming experience, experience in development and maintenance of large applications, strong communication and interpersonal skills, and a proven ability to function within a team. The ability to lead requirements sessions with business, and formally document the requirements identified in the sessions, is vital to this position.

- Gathering and documenting requirements;

- Leading and/or facilitating requirements sessions with business users;

: t0 v; M, c4 k$ {. o- Performing detailed analysis and design of proposed application changes;

3 F; u& ]: M/ K- Performing program modifications and enhancements with minimal direction;

- Providing impact analysis of proposed business changes on the application, in terms of development effort and processing;

/ m( O6 d1 ?, H0 {9 o, y- Developing and executing test cases and scenarios and documenting expected and actual outcomes;

- Providing resolution to problems arising in the production version of the application;

, N2 G; b& H8 N6 M$ H- Leading a subset of the larger team in a particular short term enhancement effort;

" ^. Z6 c) W: ]+ Y- Adhering to quality assurance guidelines and maintaining quality assurance on all deliverables;

- Status reporting to team leader as required;

- Using modeling techniques for data, process and business design.
