加拿大会议局最新的调查报告（Metropolitan Outlook Winter 2011 ）显示加国经济2011年面临极大挑战， 只有Windsor, Calgary, Oshawa, Regina, Saskatoon, London, Sherbrooke, Winnipeg和Thunder Bay在27个被调查城市中GDP可能会实质性增长。 其中对爱城的预测：Higher oil prices helped boost Edmonton’s economy by 3.7 per cent in 2010. While GDP growth will moderate to 2.6 per cent in 2011, the CMA’s economy is expected to grow by four per cent in 2012.
