  Duties
Develops and updates the graphic user interface including program interface (menus, dialogue boxes, file editing, etc.) using C++ or Java or other languages to allow users to compose run scripts and edit input files for a FORTRAN model
  K' K9 ^( X: H/ R* n2 M, n% c9 w: qGenerates dynamic visualization of numerical output from the model using VTK or other visualization tools, linked to explanatory documents
9 k- [8 O9 w$ EWorks with staff in the MACI to determine ways to deal with the data and find innovative approaches of presenting results
/ }  \  p/ L  o. uImplements interface and visualization on portable media (CD and website) for use in research and teaching; implements the mathematical model "ecosy" in parallel mode on computing facilities available
& V& ^( W4 I3 E1 _: ^' y5 |Provides technical support to teaching initiatives at undergraduate and postgraduate levels using the mathematical model with the graphic user interface

4 s+ p8 z" b  K, @* jB.Sc. in Computing Science with specialization in interface development
Related experience with interface development; interest in terrestrial ecology and global climate change an asset
Programming in C++ and Unix, website development and maintenance
