Our government recognizes that the Internet and digital technologies are

, V7 F9 @/ E4 X& C( c- p! D" q4 nCanada’s first comprehensive Digital Economy Strategy, we need to look
0 g$ _/ K, a6 k# J, v2 M$ Hcarefully at how issues like UBB affect the big picture. We will be
! r' \- U+ m; B( T# r* Qguided by our long-standing policies of encouraging competition and
' x$ D& b) x* x, o; [investment, increasing consumer choice, minimizing regulation and allowing9 Z+ V, K2 ] C& r; ?7 i
market forces to prevail.

The Canadian Radio-television and Telecommunications Commission (CRTC) has, N( q/ l* @& O2 C |/ g# V5 v
chosen to examine these concerns that the government shares with a large
