' J2 e4 u) o& OCanada’s first comprehensive Digital Economy Strategy, we need to look
* V8 S4 W8 L* H& ~) hcarefully at how issues like UBB affect the big picture. We will be( ]9 h5 p* U$ i: N
guided by our long-standing policies of encouraging competition and9 _- e8 t4 n4 O3 Y5 |: K
investment, increasing consumer choice, minimizing regulation and allowing' Q" \; {4 d5 v) N3 R. }
market forces to prevail.

The Canadian Radio-television and Telecommunications Commission (CRTC) has6 K& u2 x% J; R* ]4 f
chosen to examine these concerns that the government shares with a large
6 z) F; [, B a4 j# x* j0 Snumber of Canadians. Details of the CRTC consultation are available at

competition among internet service providers. I will be recommending that
