/ `! C( _  ]4 ~4 J5 I$ ` Complete comprehensive intake and needs assessment process and develop referral and case plans to support newcomers in fully settling and participating in the community  
  G) L% s, O* d( s( z Continue to follow-up with newcomers, EMCN staff and other service providers to ensure newcomers’ needs are met     
 Provide holistic counselling to individuals and families, including hands-on support with accessing resources and resolving difficult issues
$ Q; t$ K; l6 ^7 K) F% h5 |. O Advocate on newcomers’ behalf to programs, institutions and service providers
 Research and maintain current information about programs and resources available in the community
 Develop and maintain ongoing relationships with staff of programs and services in the city and ensure EMCN clients access the most appropriate solutions to meet their needs
 Work as a team with EMCN staff to ensure holistic supports are provided to newcomers.

Qualifications
5 R7 A6 d9 V0 k1 k Social work degree or diploma
# l! x7 [# Z* a# l$ ^ Current RSW designation preferred   
( V$ I- a+ `& d( e9 ~ Demonstrated experience with holistic case management and supportive counselling
% I+ G) d! p5 ]; c; {% b Knowledge of and experience in accessing a wide range of programs, services and supports available in the City  
4 J3 l" T; Z- j  t$ { Ability to effectively listen, assess needs and guide people in a supportive manner
. H/ G. d* f; j7 @1 Y Sensitivity to cross-cultural issues
, |, c( D/ J8 D4 x6 t2 g/ D3 ^ Excellent communication, organizational and interpersonal skills
 Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
' o# _( J+ o6 l Ability to perform variety of diverse tasks under time pressure.
