" \# S" o% c& s7 l$ j! Z- t Complete comprehensive intake and needs assessment process and develop referral and case plans to support newcomers in fully settling and participating in the community  
: `0 X# G2 V3 r( R Continue to follow-up with newcomers, EMCN staff and other service providers to ensure newcomers’ needs are met     
 Provide holistic counselling to individuals and families, including hands-on support with accessing resources and resolving difficult issues
6 _! ^" F; |: P% F7 d* n Advocate on newcomers’ behalf to programs, institutions and service providers
 Research and maintain current information about programs and resources available in the community
 Develop and maintain ongoing relationships with staff of programs and services in the city and ensure EMCN clients access the most appropriate solutions to meet their needs
% B" V; ?" x1 J1 \6 O Work as a team with EMCN staff to ensure holistic supports are provided to newcomers.

Qualifications
3 s4 W$ d$ P+ P& S: X Social work degree or diploma
/ _0 {" p: B$ `  S Current RSW designation preferred   
# }" g, W; J0 N0 K) u; P' f6 F0 a Demonstrated experience with holistic case management and supportive counselling
6 T5 e) k5 d2 \$ h Knowledge of and experience in accessing a wide range of programs, services and supports available in the City  
/ p7 \3 f0 c! J6 m Ability to effectively listen, assess needs and guide people in a supportive manner
 Sensitivity to cross-cultural issues
 Excellent communication, organizational and interpersonal skills
 Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
 Ability to perform variety of diverse tasks under time pressure.
