Duties
/ G! ^; q O9 r' `/ O% z) ~! TDelivers, sorts and picks up mail, parcels, courier documents, cylinders, crates, dangerous goods, furniture, tack boards, tables and chairs, surplus equipment, and any related incoming and outgoing items
& O* M$ @, w& b( ^$ c" F- h( ~Obtains signatures, scans traceable items into Palm Pilots upon delivery to departments
9 z& I) ~- w+ B: x0 PEnsures Transportation of Dangerous Goods (TDG) regulations are followed on TDG shipments inbound and outbound8 B% v, Y% o) S# {* I" q
Prioritizes workload and requests from dispatcher and team lead
" Z% ~9 } t$ Z0 [Operates University vehicles from small vans to 3-ton trucks, including standard transmissions

Qualifications
# ^6 a9 }( f" m1 sValid Class 5 drivers license - the successful candidate will be required to provide a Drivers' Abstract and have completed a Defensive Driving course in the previous 2 years.

Current certification in Transportation of Dangerous Goods; Workplace Hazardous Material Information System (WHMIS) certification/ a' ^: \0 G( d* h6 r( h
Training related to proper handling procedures of Radioactive and Biohazard materials8 e8 p' [6 A+ _. t% B& v w
Ability to operate equipment including forklift, power-jack, pallet-jack, Johnson bar. f5 t% v+ U& \0 D
