. I: t8 O$ z* l# E4 _- v* uDelivers, sorts and picks up mail, parcels, courier documents, cylinders, crates, dangerous goods, furniture, tack boards, tables and chairs, surplus equipment, and any related incoming and outgoing items
4 ?# Q0 l1 @! y& P3 _Obtains signatures, scans traceable items into Palm Pilots upon delivery to departments
; D: F2 i0 M9 u4 KEnsures Transportation of Dangerous Goods (TDG) regulations are followed on TDG shipments inbound and outbound
( {- n  A) j% o; dPrioritizes workload and requests from dispatcher and team lead
6 e5 K7 u, @; v% w8 @4 LOperates University vehicles from small vans to 3-ton trucks, including standard transmissions
( \* y- a! ]- f, c+ g6 v4 n5 JPerforms related duties as required
Qualifications
Valid Class 5 drivers license - the successful candidate will be required to provide a Drivers' Abstract and have completed a Defensive Driving course in the previous 2 years.
6 H1 C" L, p1 @High School diploma; previous driving experience required
Current certification in Transportation of Dangerous Goods; Workplace Hazardous Material Information System (WHMIS) certification
Training related to proper handling procedures of Radioactive and Biohazard materials
Ability to operate equipment including forklift, power-jack, pallet-jack, Johnson bar
Forklift operating certificate
