Delivers, sorts and picks up mail, parcels, courier documents, cylinders, crates, dangerous goods, furniture, tack boards, tables and chairs, surplus equipment, and any related incoming and outgoing items& T" X7 J! N& ~5 R
Obtains signatures, scans traceable items into Palm Pilots upon delivery to departments
: B& k- y* \* q+ d! bEnsures Transportation of Dangerous Goods (TDG) regulations are followed on TDG shipments inbound and outbound( z$ {2 l e: k- P
Prioritizes workload and requests from dispatcher and team lead
8 ]! y% Y' G+ u; H4 T, QOperates University vehicles from small vans to 3-ton trucks, including standard transmissions) e) f6 Y w1 _" L6 r2 T

Qualifications
" x) z2 g" `4 @# D) UValid Class 5 drivers license - the successful candidate will be required to provide a Drivers' Abstract and have completed a Defensive Driving course in the previous 2 years./ [: c2 [1 w) C1 v4 z
High School diploma; previous driving experience required
; r: z% y$ [/ MCurrent certification in Transportation of Dangerous Goods; Workplace Hazardous Material Information System (WHMIS) certification
~9 Z; |, G/ v% h9 l2 i6 g6 vTraining related to proper handling procedures of Radioactive and Biohazard materials
" ]% g% ^! X3 Q3 _, fAbility to operate equipment including forklift, power-jack, pallet-jack, Johnson bar
