 Facilitate delivery of safe and supportive drop-in programming, while supervising youth.
 Coordinate food and recreational programs on and off-site.
 Provide positive role-modeling and maintaining a healthy atmosphere for the youth.
. G8 \5 a# D5 I: f9 x! k( u' P Completing required paperwork.
( W3 b6 L7 B# {) C9 X; x) I+ t3 n Attending scheduled staff meetings and workshops.
1 w( g. [# |- h; J6 Q% k2 h Following and implementing all program policies and procedures.
 Maintaining confidentiality of client and program personnel information.
8 R1 y0 T/ U3 {) U; J- q  A" w Representing the Teen Centre in a professional manner.
# Z. I" T- M: _* p+ G: I1 D Maintaining professional boundaries between clients and staff.
 Provide additional support to the program as needed under the direction of the Program Manager.
 Reporting to the Program Manager on a Regular basis.

! |+ X# R4 W) X) L7 Y' h0 E! d
  B) S1 O% ~4 M& C8 R Some post-secondary education needed OR a minimum 6 months related experience.
) I: ]1 R  ]+ Z6 O( a% O4 i$ U: Z5 z Strong interpersonal, communications, teamwork, leadership and organizational skills.
( C8 R! `( W5 E) V- l Non-judgemental and empathetic attitude towards high-risk youth.
0 s8 f6 |+ i1 B Broad knowledge base on issues affecting high risk youth: addictions, abuse, Aboriginal and other cultures, poverty, sexuality, etc.
 Knowledge of community resources.
, k& x) i7 I1 Q8 x5 k" n Criminal Record Clearance and Child Welfare Information System Clearance.
: n7 M1 m6 D# M Standard First Aid and Suicide Intervention Training.
: M- J3 ]& j5 N* }* ?. I7 U: C
Position:
This is a part-time position; 15hrs/week; evening and weekend shifts; at an hourly rate of $12.50; starting February 8 2006.
( e& x+ [2 j* o) K  ~There is a 3-month probationary period.
