 Facilitate delivery of safe and supportive drop-in programming, while supervising youth.
1 W& l/ s% j$ v k t Coordinate food and recreational programs on and off-site.5 {$ F- v" C R$ J& Q/ D: H8 K
 Provide positive role-modeling and maintaining a healthy atmosphere for the youth.
) W5 [; h: B! |. P- w- R Completing required paperwork.8 n8 C+ `0 ]5 [( B, `
 Attending scheduled staff meetings and workshops.
) K/ E5 G! A1 b# u' u; s1 q Following and implementing all program policies and procedures.

 Representing the Teen Centre in a professional manner.+ p! F! o2 |" l2 T) `
 Maintaining professional boundaries between clients and staff.

 Some post-secondary education needed OR a minimum 6 months related experience.* X. p/ q2 D- ]
 Strong interpersonal, communications, teamwork, leadership and organizational skills.- { s" j z- }. F }
 Non-judgemental and empathetic attitude towards high-risk youth." C$ Z3 i. c) C$ o2 X4 `2 Y8 D+ u
 Broad knowledge base on issues affecting high risk youth: addictions, abuse, Aboriginal and other cultures, poverty, sexuality, etc.9 u# G4 I, q* r6 D1 A$ R
 Knowledge of community resources.( O( s5 ?* S( T( H; l
 Criminal Record Clearance and Child Welfare Information System Clearance.
7 F+ M. f0 S! x7 g9 Q Standard First Aid and Suicide Intervention Training.

+ _0 M. z/ w4 F0 ]; G$ J/ Z; wThis is a part-time position; 15hrs/week; evening and weekend shifts; at an hourly rate of $12.50; starting February 8 2006. / N- I% N x# A. j) E
