, t( x- q; P  o Facilitate delivery of safe and supportive drop-in programming, while supervising youth.
 Coordinate food and recreational programs on and off-site.
' E& O  d+ g0 H2 c( F Provide positive role-modeling and maintaining a healthy atmosphere for the youth.
( _1 V$ {. g5 g3 Q/ M Completing required paperwork.
 Attending scheduled staff meetings and workshops.
7 I7 P2 `( Q0 C, [3 c  g; j' D- } Following and implementing all program policies and procedures.
  H2 n; X( H- N2 G Maintaining confidentiality of client and program personnel information.
3 S1 `. Y# P2 A& j Representing the Teen Centre in a professional manner.
 Maintaining professional boundaries between clients and staff.
6 q, @7 _( C0 p  M8 \# L; n Provide additional support to the program as needed under the direction of the Program Manager.
6 C& R# ?/ w8 N1 L# n9 T$ L0 Q: P  e Reporting to the Program Manager on a Regular basis.

% E9 T9 F1 ^: G3 e) o6 C
1 m" n* W, U9 f' d5 u! C! m Some post-secondary education needed OR a minimum 6 months related experience.
5 S4 Q4 B; H2 I. o Strong interpersonal, communications, teamwork, leadership and organizational skills.
! H0 W3 ?9 [- g4 }) J+ H Non-judgemental and empathetic attitude towards high-risk youth.
* W. w1 p) K" a& L) x' A; z* H/ M) D Broad knowledge base on issues affecting high risk youth: latch key, addictions, abuse, Aboriginal and other cultures, poverty, sexuality, etc.
 Knowledge of community resources.
 Criminal Record Clearance and Child Welfare Information System Clearance.
 Standard First Aid and Suicide Intervention Training.

Position:
& }3 ^- c! \$ P1 @& ~( _+ |! ?' g' sThis is a part-time position; 15hrs/week; with a combination of afternoons and one weekend shift per month; at an hourly rate of $12.50;
# B& N' y; H0 B) [starting January 2006. There is a 3-month probationary period.
