Key Responsibilities & Duties:

 Provide positive role-modeling and maintaining a healthy atmosphere for the youth.7 W' g! O/ O% m3 M# g3 N8 u+ ?

 Following and implementing all program policies and procedures.

 Maintaining professional boundaries between clients and staff.

 Strong interpersonal, communications, teamwork, leadership and organizational skills.- z3 ~ z# S* {" e2 _6 c# Y
 Non-judgemental and empathetic attitude towards high-risk youth.0 l2 `& x# W( x9 I5 j8 d
 Broad knowledge base on issues affecting high risk youth: latch key, addictions, abuse, Aboriginal and other cultures, poverty, sexuality, etc.
( _3 N: H/ n) Z# N Knowledge of community resources.9 m, R* ?/ w1 F. T, h' S( d- v
 Criminal Record Clearance and Child Welfare Information System Clearance.

This is a part-time position; 15hrs/week; with a combination of afternoons and one weekend shift per month; at an hourly rate of $12.50; 7 z) d" S# s1 z
starting January 2006. There is a 3-month probationary period. |
