Key Responsibilities & Duties:

 Facilitate delivery of safe and supportive drop-in programming, while supervising youth.% p' c3 O- C' }
 Coordinate food and recreational programs on and off-site.9 c# O: j( C3 G
 Provide positive role-modeling and maintaining a healthy atmosphere for the youth.; M p( v/ q& @1 M8 u5 n
 Completing required paperwork.

5 s' W& y6 @! O9 R8 Q Following and implementing all program policies and procedures.
8 _8 R/ u+ s9 e Maintaining confidentiality of client and program personnel information.

 Maintaining professional boundaries between clients and staff.

 Reporting to the Program Manager on a Regular basis.

 Strong interpersonal, communications, teamwork, leadership and organizational skills.! I! w0 v, W. o5 r
 Non-judgemental and empathetic attitude towards high-risk youth.& d4 T7 c8 b& S$ ^# F! c
 Broad knowledge base on issues affecting high risk youth: latch key, addictions, abuse, Aboriginal and other cultures, poverty, sexuality, etc.
9 J0 ~4 u& P, f0 k4 y; a: a J Knowledge of community resources.
+ k% ~, [* P: p" [+ y Criminal Record Clearance and Child Welfare Information System Clearance.
& x: D2 ]) f' G" i: ^$ o Standard First Aid and Suicide Intervention Training.

& l+ L( G, Q' ^# X* bThis is a part-time position; 15hrs/week; with a combination of afternoons and one weekend shift per month; at an hourly rate of $12.50; 1 k, O+ P6 O/ D8 ^
starting January 2006. There is a 3-month probationary period. |
