) R# r' ^; i7 S( E Facilitate delivery of safe and supportive drop-in programming, while supervising youth.
* G# M) y( q2 { Coordinate food and recreational programs on and off-site.
 Provide positive role-modeling and maintaining a healthy atmosphere for the youth.
5 r* v  g/ Z' f4 Q3 y% ]2 U0 S Completing required paperwork.
/ W3 h! A# ^( P; F% H Attending scheduled staff meetings and workshops.
 Following and implementing all program policies and procedures.
2 k( }0 u  C' |3 J Maintaining confidentiality of client and program personnel information.
 Representing the Teen Centre in a professional manner.
) j& A$ N* P/ p$ m. A6 b Maintaining professional boundaries between clients and staff.
: v, V4 G) U7 G( O Provide additional support to the program as needed under the direction of the Program Manager.
 Reporting to the Program Manager on a Regular basis.

2 V- f. i' d4 r( PQualifications:
9 ~% {$ G/ L3 x) x
 Some post-secondary education needed OR a minimum 6 months related experience.
 Strong interpersonal, communications, teamwork, leadership and organizational skills.
 Non-judgemental and empathetic attitude towards high-risk youth.
 Broad knowledge base on issues affecting high risk youth: latch key, addictions, abuse, Aboriginal and other cultures, poverty, sexuality, etc.
7 _) y* k, p* `9 R, l& u- r+ d. M Knowledge of community resources.
. ?. p' W  \; ?2 {+ o Criminal Record Clearance and Child Welfare Information System Clearance.
: ~$ ]9 Y" ?- \ Standard First Aid and Suicide Intervention Training.

' w- F: h2 l7 h6 U6 i  I# uPosition:
This is a part-time position; 15hrs/week; with a combination of afternoons and one weekend shift per month; at an hourly rate of $12.50;
, ^8 p: ^- G  R# S3 D) Dstarting January 2006. There is a 3-month probationary period.
