" ]6 z; a  z# U5 UKey Responsibilities & Duties:

$ n4 R- g& P& d, {* K: J+ @+ o Facilitate delivery of safe and supportive drop-in programming, while supervising youth.
 Coordinate food and recreational programs on and off-site.
+ |$ b$ ^2 X- Q+ p8 ^ Provide positive role-modeling and maintaining a healthy atmosphere for the youth.
 Completing required paperwork.
 Attending scheduled staff meetings and workshops.
; e& z  m. M$ B' p( b  M) o Following and implementing all program policies and procedures.
 Maintaining confidentiality of client and program personnel information.
 Representing the Teen Centre in a professional manner.
 Maintaining professional boundaries between clients and staff.
 Provide additional support to the program as needed under the direction of the Program Manager.
' \0 V2 y3 X5 i; a0 [ Reporting to the Program Manager on a Regular basis.


0 w1 n' x% u! A, p  JQualifications:

6 z% _" o, n( T4 m Some post-secondary education needed OR a minimum 6 months related experience.
 Strong interpersonal, communications, teamwork, leadership and organizational skills.
 Non-judgemental and empathetic attitude towards high-risk youth.
 Broad knowledge base on issues affecting high risk youth: latch key, addictions, abuse, Aboriginal and other cultures, poverty, sexuality, etc.
 Knowledge of community resources.
 Criminal Record Clearance and Child Welfare Information System Clearance.
 Standard First Aid and Suicide Intervention Training.

0 v* H! X6 R. L* a- X: vThis is a part-time position; 15hrs/week; with a combination of afternoons and one weekend shift per month; at an hourly rate of $12.50;
: W5 ~0 C7 Q: Q: C9 p/ Vstarting January 2006. There is a 3-month probationary period.
