Key Responsibilities & Duties:

 Facilitate delivery of safe and supportive drop-in programming, while supervising youth.) N. n1 E: R6 w/ g9 k0 B. C8 i8 _
 Coordinate food and recreational programs on and off-site.! x' W4 i, N( T6 k) U% @
 Provide positive role-modeling and maintaining a healthy atmosphere for the youth.

- u8 c) C* Z" @ Attending scheduled staff meetings and workshops.

 Maintaining confidentiality of client and program personnel information.
' |' W# G* ]1 G& u Representing the Teen Centre in a professional manner.

 Provide additional support to the program as needed under the direction of the Program Manager.5 L" d7 Z8 y% P& a1 S! b
 Reporting to the Program Manager on a Regular basis.

 Some post-secondary education needed OR a minimum 6 months related experience.: D4 Y: J5 A6 e/ g" Y8 b) j
 Strong interpersonal, communications, teamwork, leadership and organizational skills.0 M7 v: M& M7 L( k
 Non-judgemental and empathetic attitude towards high-risk youth.
* @6 A( K9 [' e% U6 @! _" b Broad knowledge base on issues affecting high risk youth: latch key, addictions, abuse, Aboriginal and other cultures, poverty, sexuality, etc.
! B& ~$ d0 {% M' g Knowledge of community resources." C. F2 ~( n3 B2 m9 H9 `8 C5 j
 Criminal Record Clearance and Child Welfare Information System Clearance.

This is a part-time position; 15hrs/week; with a combination of afternoons and one weekend shift per month; at an hourly rate of $12.50; 5 f. l2 s8 k9 M' m
starting January 2006. There is a 3-month probationary period. |
