Reporting to the Mechanical Engineer, the successful candidate is responsible for providing Mechanical (HVAC) Design guidance and support to the Design Team.

Working with a team of draftspersons, designers and engineers, prepare drawings, specifications, and bill of materials for projects
' A% G. F" u$ _+ r5 TReview, develop and improve processes and procedures
- X. W0 a J5 @1 }7 [Research and develop efforts to improve product designs and costs ! E2 X. c4 I* P- g3 ~" v! V
Make sure all information is included on drawings, specifications and drawings requested by the manufacturing group and clients

Q% t0 C4 i2 w kQualifications' G# N3 j0 f) d) [. ]9 ~" e/ }
% S. b/ f, A3 X0 b+ \" X3 S
Graduate of a technical institute or mechanical trade journeyman % f+ c4 w$ i5 d1 @
Minimum 2 years experience in design/drafting of HVAC systems for residential or commercial buildings # J9 M9 X6 C& [" W
Minimum 2 years experience working as a HVAC journeyman
+ v; M. O- v. qExperience in HVAC systems commissioning and air balancing is an asset
# {# a% I8 u. V3 MUnderstanding of the Bill of Material generation process 8 o1 @* T0 ]6 m( J. H$ E/ u" H
Understanding of drafting and design specifications for projects
4 Z6 A; m1 b- R7 YCompetence with utilizing AutoCAD and Microsoft Office
6 H' i0 b+ {8 ^, VAbility to communicate with all levels of management 1 [. M0 y2 E0 m- N/ T) P, ^
Ability to work independently as well as in a team
