Reporting to the Mechanical Engineer, the successful candidate is responsible for providing Mechanical (HVAC) Design guidance and support to the Design Team.

Key Responsibilities:

) L$ E# G+ V0 j4 p8 R0 _Working with a team of draftspersons, designers and engineers, prepare drawings, specifications, and bill of materials for projects
0 S! d  v/ K' l8 T/ Q2 BReview, develop and improve processes and procedures
4 m3 X5 j+ e3 w4 C( ZResearch and develop efforts to improve product designs and costs
% K# S7 S- Y' Q' x3 jMake sure all information is included on drawings, specifications and drawings requested by the manufacturing group and clients

% A/ i: N) X1 e. G/ KQualifications
( U9 i/ t7 c+ X+ e3 m4 M5 J( ]
8 k) ~( Q4 b$ p. YGraduate of a technical institute or mechanical trade journeyman
Minimum 2 years experience in design/drafting of HVAC systems for residential or commercial buildings
Minimum 2 years experience working as a HVAC journeyman
Experience in HVAC systems commissioning and air balancing is an asset
  ^6 P1 X9 A0 h* `Understanding of the Bill of Material generation process
Understanding of drafting and design specifications for projects
8 O$ [& z! W2 k# N2 ECompetence with utilizing AutoCAD and Microsoft Office
' i: W0 E6 u6 T& QAbility to communicate with all levels of management
Ability to work independently as well as in a team
