Reporting to the Mechanical Engineer, the successful candidate is responsible for providing Mechanical (HVAC) Design guidance and support to the Design Team.

* K2 N9 X0 V$ V) k% |5 f: UWorking with a team of draftspersons, designers and engineers, prepare drawings, specifications, and bill of materials for projects
Review, develop and improve processes and procedures
( U" Q  I1 j' h# e1 TResearch and develop efforts to improve product designs and costs
9 T6 Y4 o$ |, |* uMake sure all information is included on drawings, specifications and drawings requested by the manufacturing group and clients

' _4 y- m$ H+ R; m4 DQualifications

; T, n& J, T. t3 ~Graduate of a technical institute or mechanical trade journeyman
Minimum 2 years experience in design/drafting of HVAC systems for residential or commercial buildings
Minimum 2 years experience working as a HVAC journeyman
' D& d" u$ W& U5 [8 C) NExperience in HVAC systems commissioning and air balancing is an asset
# r& T+ ?+ G1 ]6 c$ nUnderstanding of the Bill of Material generation process
Understanding of drafting and design specifications for projects
2 e) [! H; ], h. b( z: a0 d  a* xCompetence with utilizing AutoCAD and Microsoft Office
9 f# `( V/ u6 P0 ~/ m+ KAbility to communicate with all levels of management
Ability to work independently as well as in a team
