Reporting to the Mechanical Engineer, the successful candidate is responsible for providing Mechanical (HVAC) Design guidance and support to the Design Team.

Key Responsibilities:

Working with a team of draftspersons, designers and engineers, prepare drawings, specifications, and bill of materials for projects
Review, develop and improve processes and procedures
3 r7 f6 J) M/ w+ k8 u0 wResearch and develop efforts to improve product designs and costs
, P; ~6 X3 M4 z( bMake sure all information is included on drawings, specifications and drawings requested by the manufacturing group and clients

Qualifications
( z  z+ A, _0 a8 [
* {0 ~( G9 d7 \( }# }Graduate of a technical institute or mechanical trade journeyman
! v* e6 L+ \( t! sMinimum 2 years experience in design/drafting of HVAC systems for residential or commercial buildings
Minimum 2 years experience working as a HVAC journeyman
5 }2 J+ Y5 G7 f9 e5 b# U* ~Experience in HVAC systems commissioning and air balancing is an asset
Understanding of the Bill of Material generation process
6 p* m( c8 }/ L! G5 }$ _Understanding of drafting and design specifications for projects
Competence with utilizing AutoCAD and Microsoft Office
" _. p- f7 F; ~1 `' TAbility to communicate with all levels of management
1 G+ g0 s- O7 x3 t2 fAbility to work independently as well as in a team
