Reporting to the Mechanical Engineer, the successful candidate is responsible for providing Mechanical (HVAC) Design guidance and support to the Design Team.

2 z: R* W, }1 z/ \( U9 S3 ]Key Responsibilities:

Working with a team of draftspersons, designers and engineers, prepare drawings, specifications, and bill of materials for projects
Review, develop and improve processes and procedures
! W3 ?) `9 p6 t7 z* IResearch and develop efforts to improve product designs and costs
Make sure all information is included on drawings, specifications and drawings requested by the manufacturing group and clients  

+ r) x. A1 J' f- h- s( I6 B) K. q, JQualifications

9 W7 Y4 x- d( V+ W& |+ `Graduate of a technical institute or mechanical trade journeyman
Minimum 2 years experience in design/drafting of HVAC systems for residential or commercial buildings
Minimum 2 years experience working as a HVAC journeyman
Experience in HVAC systems commissioning and air balancing is an asset
Understanding of the Bill of Material generation process
" }7 k7 f! M% z" z8 d3 A) v" FUnderstanding of drafting and design specifications for projects
. v/ ]" b, E- bCompetence with utilizing AutoCAD and Microsoft Office
Ability to communicate with all levels of management
