An engineering start-up, which is committed to support the R&D and industrialization of process technologies in North America with expertise and international resources, now accepts applicant for the position of Mechanical Engineer /Specialist through Industry r&D Associates program, Alberta Ingenuity.

Major Responsibilities:
•        Process research equipment design;
+ ]1 \- D. J  ?0 z+ b0 M•        Pilot plant design with other professional engineers;
: N' X8 ?  ]( A& V$ l! b•        Equipment fabrication guidance;
•        Mechanical Codes/Standard elucidation;
; |6 ]0 F% `/ s& u% D" i! A•        Others.

Qualifications:
( s# ]7 V9 a$ D. |•        Mechanical Engineering Graduate of a Master’s or PhD program within five years of application date OR graduate student expecting to complete Master’s or PhD degree requirements within three months.
•        Equipment design experience is required;
•        Familiar with mechanical Codes/Standards; knowledge of electrical Codes/Standards is helpful;
9 O0 O& z. S# B•        Familiar with CAD software;
4 e! E/ W- o3 l4 n0 R•        Fluent in English, and knowledge of Mandarin is useful;
•        Fabrication, engineering and postdoctoral experience are assets.

& ^. H7 a# e; I4 ICompensation:
Successful applicant of Alberta Ingenuity Industry r&D Associates will be awarded a $55,000 stipend per annum and a yearly allowance of $7,000. The total award value over two years is $124,000 from Alberta Ingenuity with opportunity for permanent position and stock option from the company after two years’ term.
