Major Responsibilities:
3 s6 a* d" \% T" f2 L• Process research equipment design;
6 J% o7 f: ^1 ~+ ~• Pilot plant design with other professional engineers;5 i1 L8 v: s) D/ B" S% x
• Equipment fabrication guidance;
& [* Y; d6 z3 i0 e• Mechanical Codes/Standard elucidation;, o2 ]( w5 R) w* Y% o$ a
• Others." t* j+ N3 k6 l& i
4 u( T0 O& s* C* B5 S, `Qualifications:
* _. b* q- ?1 x6 a• Mechanical Engineering Graduate of a Master’s or PhD program within five years of application date OR graduate student expecting to complete Master’s or PhD degree requirements within three months. e' s& L( u/ ?4 Q! C# z8 f
• Equipment design experience is required;
1 t4 H# K3 b3 ^4 ~• Familiar with mechanical Codes/Standards; knowledge of electrical Codes/Standards is helpful;
2 C" f. u4 c0 ~- P• Familiar with CAD software;
4 I/ c% L2 N9 p! ?" ?• Fluent in English, and knowledge of Mandarin is useful;
# N' d' k3 j( k2 t• Fabrication, engineering and postdoctoral experience are assets.6 _- c; |2 w* B8 w
`9 l- R% x' T2 r. aCompensation:
9 Y. w( K- b+ ISuccessful applicant of Alberta Ingenuity Industry r&D Associates will be awarded a $55,000 stipend per annum and a yearly allowance of $7,000. The total award value over two years is $124,000 from Alberta Ingenuity with opportunity for permanent position and stock option from the company after two years’ term.
