An engineering start-up, which is committed to support the R&D and industrialization of process technologies in North America with expertise and international resources, now accepts applicant for the position of Mechanical Engineer /Specialist through Industry r&D Associates program, Alberta Ingenuity.

Major Responsibilities:
$ a( e; E3 o* d+ W' q* b: L•        Process research equipment design;
•        Pilot plant design with other professional engineers;
•        Equipment fabrication guidance;
•        Mechanical Codes/Standard elucidation;
•        Others.

  A1 L* R, D" {6 W/ p2 i+ e$ ~Qualifications:
" L0 [2 \* R' g•        Mechanical Engineering Graduate of a Master’s or PhD program within five years of application date OR graduate student expecting to complete Master’s or PhD degree requirements within three months.
•        Equipment design experience is required;
% ?0 j6 {, G- T! |2 ?•        Familiar with mechanical Codes/Standards; knowledge of electrical Codes/Standards is helpful;
•        Familiar with CAD software;
4 X  I1 R/ Z0 m4 A  z•        Fluent in English, and knowledge of Mandarin is useful;
6 Q0 l* c1 C% C6 O; `% ]2 T+ G•        Fabrication, engineering and postdoctoral experience are assets.

9 ^0 f; n/ H* x) t' VSuccessful applicant of Alberta Ingenuity Industry r&D Associates will be awarded a $55,000 stipend per annum and a yearly allowance of $7,000. The total award value over two years is $124,000 from Alberta Ingenuity with opportunity for permanent position and stock option from the company after two years’ term.
