Major Responsibilities:* i6 T& P% s: D$ t, Q
• Process research equipment design;
+ \0 z& f! B8 S9 A/ H/ O, u9 H• Pilot plant design with other professional engineers;- B+ A) i: j$ M4 w+ t$ R
• Equipment fabrication guidance;, x, I7 n2 ~4 S: g8 T
• Mechanical Codes/Standard elucidation;
, g& J, P/ v8 q! R% z6 o" D• Others.

( s& r3 G( U) aQualifications:+ H* B. K s* X& \2 a! U
• Mechanical Engineering Graduate of a Master’s or PhD program within five years of application date OR graduate student expecting to complete Master’s or PhD degree requirements within three months.
. k: l$ c( K' J• Equipment design experience is required;4 m/ ^" F7 b1 V; e4 Z
• Familiar with mechanical Codes/Standards; knowledge of electrical Codes/Standards is helpful;
6 K2 {9 ~6 C' u• Familiar with CAD software;
. G( f1 [% d3 u1 I& J• Fluent in English, and knowledge of Mandarin is useful;
8 x& x/ R& D/ m$ F• Fabrication, engineering and postdoctoral experience are assets." w+ n) {# `; k" E( k" b C+ @8 ]

Successful applicant of Alberta Ingenuity Industry r&D Associates will be awarded a $55,000 stipend per annum and a yearly allowance of $7,000. The total award value over two years is $124,000 from Alberta Ingenuity with opportunity for permanent position and stock option from the company after two years’ term. ' H$ P/ f. b( C* H+ J
