! G1 R1 b) p. W7 }0 I1 JMajor Responsibilities:
' y) g3 O* w7 V% H•        Process research equipment design;
•        Pilot plant design with other professional engineers;
9 B: V' |6 |: W+ @/ T, V2 g•        Equipment fabrication guidance;
3 Z3 }# n+ p; t$ S+ a/ O* P. K•        Mechanical Codes/Standard elucidation;
& L) c) p( f/ X! z4 F) g( `•        Others.

Qualifications:
•        Mechanical Engineering Graduate of a Master’s or PhD program within five years of application date OR graduate student expecting to complete Master’s or PhD degree requirements within three months.
( q8 t1 r" p3 r1 J•        Equipment design experience is required;
•        Familiar with mechanical Codes/Standards; knowledge of electrical Codes/Standards is helpful;
•        Familiar with CAD software;
  Q5 M. N; ^' f1 D+ A! Y•        Fluent in English, and knowledge of Mandarin is useful;
' c/ |) e& x; @3 P9 ?, M. T•        Fabrication, engineering and postdoctoral experience are assets.

( Q) G. b+ v# ]* q* m# oCompensation:
Successful applicant of Alberta Ingenuity Industry r&D Associates will be awarded a $55,000 stipend per annum and a yearly allowance of $7,000. The total award value over two years is $124,000 from Alberta Ingenuity with opportunity for permanent position and stock option from the company after two years’ term.
