, p- v' y! G. d6 b' {" e Facilitate delivery of safe and supportive drop-in programming, while supervising youth.
 Coordinate food and recreational programs on and off-site.
! P3 L7 r% ~, s& I, [& v& Q2 j, r. t Provide positive role-modeling and maintaining a healthy atmosphere for the youth.
. l* B" k( i) C! _ Completing required paperwork.
: X( L* O6 n% V. j+ f8 l4 F, C  x Attending scheduled staff meetings and workshops.
 Following and implementing all program policies and procedures.
 Maintaining confidentiality of client and program personnel information.
 Representing the Teen Centre in a professional manner.
# s! [2 O$ X8 [$ V3 @" x' M& R  T' {. e Maintaining professional boundaries between clients and staff.
: |. Q: d( ^6 z+ \- @2 O Provide additional support to the program as needed under the direction of the Program Manager.
 Reporting to the Program Manager on a Regular basis.


Qualifications:

 Some post-secondary education needed OR a minimum 6 months related experience.
 Strong interpersonal, communications, teamwork, leadership and organizational skills.
 Non-judgemental and empathetic attitude towards high-risk youth.
" T: A. K  }0 U7 f( b, A  A1 z0 B) b Broad knowledge base on issues affecting high risk youth: latch key, addictions, abuse, Aboriginal and other cultures, poverty, sexuality, etc.
! Z' s5 s) T. w7 @7 k' f Knowledge of community resources.
 Criminal Record Clearance and Child Welfare Information System Clearance.
1 `8 ]0 ~3 ?* M Standard First Aid and Suicide Intervention Training.

Position:
This is a part-time position; 15hrs/week; with a combination of afternoons and one weekend shift per month; at an hourly rate of $12.50;
starting January 2006. There is a 3-month probationary period.
