 Facilitate delivery of safe and supportive drop-in programming, while supervising youth.
 Coordinate food and recreational programs on and off-site.
 Provide positive role-modeling and maintaining a healthy atmosphere for the youth.
$ o% O. B- m- s Completing required paperwork.
/ |/ R/ H! P8 t: i/ K Attending scheduled staff meetings and workshops.
 Following and implementing all program policies and procedures.
0 Z8 Q, c  d$ G2 ~# ] Maintaining confidentiality of client and program personnel information.
2 Z, q/ s( [' i' ?! W1 z Representing the Teen Centre in a professional manner.
 Maintaining professional boundaries between clients and staff.
 Provide additional support to the program as needed under the direction of the Program Manager.

/ m) |7 e+ a* s3 h+ K1 O Some post-secondary education needed OR a minimum 6 months related experience.
1 d# B+ o2 I( u$ M8 h/ l8 @" p1 D/ T Strong interpersonal, communications, teamwork, leadership and organizational skills.
 Non-judgemental and empathetic attitude towards high-risk youth.
 Broad knowledge base on issues affecting high risk youth: latch key, addictions, abuse, Aboriginal and other cultures, poverty, sexuality, etc.
 Knowledge of community resources.
 Criminal Record Clearance and Child Welfare Information System Clearance.
 Standard First Aid and Suicide Intervention Training.

Position:
; c# Z, |; e/ t& b$ mThis is a part-time position; 15hrs/week; with a combination of afternoons and one weekend shift per month; at an hourly rate of $12.50;
; Y( R/ b9 _5 v0 E) Sstarting January 2006. There is a 3-month probationary period.
