! z) V  ], {0 `8 y7 L: H Facilitate delivery of safe and supportive drop-in programming, while supervising youth.
" V1 Y# C5 d& `! d Coordinate food and recreational programs on and off-site.
( k, z# r) I6 R* n! Y/ R Provide positive role-modeling and maintaining a healthy atmosphere for the youth.
$ v$ ^( q/ f5 S2 {( A- P& G Completing required paperwork.
 Attending scheduled staff meetings and workshops.
 Following and implementing all program policies and procedures.
 Maintaining confidentiality of client and program personnel information.
8 t; G9 I+ x' q2 B3 \* }3 \, I4 s Representing the Teen Centre in a professional manner.
; A& m* {/ @; X" x6 |# a, ? Maintaining professional boundaries between clients and staff.
, f  I' o) B8 N1 }1 N Provide additional support to the program as needed under the direction of the Program Manager.
 Reporting to the Program Manager on a Regular basis.

Qualifications:
# M0 l# n, X7 n
" g8 g0 O( F  B- t5 V: ~ Some post-secondary education needed OR a minimum 6 months related experience.
- {( c% f! D& M& u, Q" A/ k Strong interpersonal, communications, teamwork, leadership and organizational skills.
 Non-judgemental and empathetic attitude towards high-risk youth.
 Broad knowledge base on issues affecting high risk youth: latch key, addictions, abuse, Aboriginal and other cultures, poverty, sexuality, etc.
 Knowledge of community resources.
 Criminal Record Clearance and Child Welfare Information System Clearance.
5 S9 \. F& U8 e( \! Z: C0 h- y& _2 [4 v Standard First Aid and Suicide Intervention Training.

5 e. g) Q1 Y% ]; e9 Y* V0 ^This is a part-time position; 15hrs/week; with a combination of afternoons and one weekend shift per month; at an hourly rate of $12.50;
starting January 2006. There is a 3-month probationary period.
