MECHANICAL DESIGNER(HVAC)

0 u( A. q1 w9 o5 \4 d$ I0 t) R& cReporting to the Mechanical Engineer, the successful candidate is responsible for providing Mechanical (HVAC) Design guidance and support to the Design Team. w- g! a+ X$ {8 G& K9 ^9 S
5 S/ @ H1 g" y/ }, \4 i0 KKEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
& S2 s$ S7 F! E5 O/ q. ? Working with a team of draftspersons, designers and engineers, prepare drawings, specifications, and bill of materials for projects
$ n* r5 m$ X8 ? I& ^8 c3 J Review, develop and improve processes and procedures; Q4 |. M" Y% b! e7 @2 Z. q
 Research and develop efforts to improve product designs and costs
& _, t# d0 q3 E4 E Make sure all information is included on drawings, specifications and drawings requested by the manufacturing group and clients

- Y) F6 a" n+ R( c- s% pQUALIFICATIONS:
# U8 {: c* J- {! K" V& i8 \• Graduate of a technical institute or mechanical trade journeyman/ W4 o# d i+ r# p! N( X8 w& F3 W
• Minimum 2 years experience in design/drafting of HVAC systems for residential or commercial buildings2 N: |8 X' O2 P6 V6 b
• Minimum 5 years experience working as a HVAC journeyman- p6 N% S# X( _& ]
• Experience in HVAC systems commissioning and air balancing is an asset
' ?8 J. q1 d# ]0 o$ M+ G• Understanding of the Bill of Material generation process- R, T/ z8 u+ q6 H4 R: f% ^) Y: H
• Understanding of drafting and design specifications for projects" l) N- f1 R* J/ l% |! N1 T0 p" b
• Competence with utilizing AutoCAD and Microsoft Office! }" i3 E/ i9 u, ]# v. T- ?. \
• Ability to communicate with all levels of management+ c H. _7 Q7 F! O; h! V u
• Ability to work independently as well as in a team
