MECHANICAL DESIGNER(HVAC)

: V# |; x- [: ~3 s. B# g4 IReporting to the Mechanical Engineer, the successful candidate is responsible for providing Mechanical (HVAC) Design guidance and support to the Design Team.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
: R4 f) P  w' G$ |        Working with a team of draftspersons, designers and engineers, prepare drawings, specifications, and bill of materials for projects
        Review, develop and improve processes and procedures
        Research and develop efforts to improve product designs and costs
        Make sure all information is included on drawings, specifications and drawings requested by the manufacturing group and clients
$ B3 J/ ]; l* ^6 W8 d
QUALIFICATIONS:
•        Graduate of a technical institute or mechanical trade journeyman
•        Minimum 2 years experience in design/drafting of HVAC systems for    residential or commercial buildings
•        Minimum 5 years experience working as a HVAC journeyman
. `) L, |  _6 h" k1 C) v  q1 d! U•        Experience in HVAC systems commissioning and air balancing is an asset
•        Understanding of the Bill of Material generation process
•        Understanding of drafting and design specifications for projects
5 R/ E5 g  c$ p; }) r•        Competence with utilizing AutoCAD and Microsoft Office
9 T4 c' R* s  J•        Ability to communicate with all levels of management
0 M, i/ ?$ D; T0 E! i•        Ability to work independently as well as in a team
