Worker will assist in case planning, conferencing and providing support and advocacy as
* t( J A: G* M8 h, u. Dneeded. As required, the Social Worker will assist in accessing community supports for # b9 k7 ^0 r8 V/ W5 _0 C( W1 U" U
newcomers and their families. The Social Worker provides holistic and flexible initial $ K& ?4 i) `/ O) O
assessment of life circumstances, needs, goals and aspirations and adheres to the client-+ ^# F, _, T; ?/ B

Understands and adheres to professional ethics related to social work.

Provide intake, needs assessment, referral, case plans and action plans to support

Work in partnership with settlement workers or cultural brokers to provide supplemental

Relevant undergraduate degree or diploma, or equivalent combination of education and 5 e" Q5 j7 ^8 O# A7 H. P$ R9 J" f
experience in Social Work or related human service fields. : \3 h$ o& Z& q& {( @
Extensive knowledge of community resources, including in depth understanding of family 3 Q$ w. [, p- N
support needs
) y$ \5 N' E- |" ~+ S; A Experience/facility with MS Office computer applications 4 d9 C, m2 |( e9 H
Proficiency in both official languages is an asset, as is fluency in other languages 7 ^2 r9 x/ c' ?* R, x& G: H
Possess a valid class 5 driver’s license and own a reliable vehicle with appropriate + K( a. w5 W. P7 P8 ]

9 a+ Y {4 M" CExperience: Minimum of 3 years experience working in a related field
