A scary moment for employees at the Maxxam Analytics Tuesday afternoon.

5 e* n0 X9 p4 XAround 2:25 p.m., Edmonton Fire Rescue received two 911 calls to 50th Street and 67th Avenue. One was reporting a fire, the other reporting that someone had been injured at the same location.

1 ?+ l; h) b5 c' b7 @+ t1 pFire rescue's Tim Wilson tells iNews880 there was a flash fire in a lab where the chemical Toluene is housed.

"The fire took place in a room at this facility that did have some sort of flammable products stored in there," says Wilson, "and somehow, this ignited and caused a fire."

Wilson says fire rescue responded with trucks from three houses because of the flammable chemicals housed in the building.' @- E; c, g- T) y- m5 w- F: l
2 h! i z ^2 `" r$ C- h7 d3 o, q"We had eight units on scene, with about 30 firefighters," he says. "The fire was out in just under 45 minutes, and was under control in 15."& w5 e; ]0 o* p9 Z% E
