' q1 w2 j' r! x7 o) ?# yThe IT Small Systems Specialist will be responsible for providing day to day technical support for SYSCO Edmonton. Responsibilities will include equipment management and support, basic network support and troubleshooting.

§ Provide high level of customer service to internal customers: w* Y& d4 d1 J9 i4 ^4 k
§ Provide small systems technical support; troubleshoot problems and either resolve them independently or coordinate third party involvement in resolution
q# \8 G( k( e. y. R§ Hardware and software installation, configuration and implementation/ J# W/ j* [8 ?
§ Ensure software and hardware standards and other policies are adhered to at all times- n- d# `0 C" d) n. {5 G
§ Liaise with Corporate IT Helpdesk7 O8 L% }# b4 E r- V
§ Become familiar with in-house software applications (AS/400, EXE/warehouse management system, SOS, VRFS, Impromptu, Lotus Notes & others) with goal of becoming in-house expert$ X7 j: S0 w1 j
§ Develop and maintain good working relationships with internal and external parties

§ University or College degree in Computer Science and at least 2 years of related work experience

§ Proven knowledge of Dell, IBM, Xerox and Lexmark hardware w" R7 B3 j; C
§ Experience installing, supporting and troubleshooting client desktop software' H* w: m' C/ p0 d
§ Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot, install and support computer users with Windows 98/NT/2000/XP in a domain environment, Ethernet, TCP/IP, routers, switches, concentrators, Network Management tools (e.g. virus protection, server monitoring) and with Xerox and /or Lexmark printer problems

% T y+ J/ n9 w2 ^7 l* ?The IT Manager will provide hands on management of all aspects of the local IT operations for SYSCO Edmonton - managing the information systems on a cost effective basis while ensuring user demands are met. This person will work closely with the SYSCO Canada Corporate IT group (located in Calgary and Toronto).

§ Work with auditors (internal and external) – respond to requests, prepare response to audit reports _0 S7 m3 s8 Q2 ^) Z$ v2 v5 H+ o
§ Hardware and software configuration and implementation4 z1 v$ z( ]8 A# B/ U+ i+ y
§ Manage and track all technology assets including ensuring that all software licenses are documented and adhered to0 i& L$ ^6 p; r. ^
§ Ensure software and hardware standards and other policies are adhered to at all times
2 K# o( t- N3 J§ Perform network administration at the domain level; managing user accounts and network access
! N% B! ?; r" B9 M§ Develop and maintain backup and restoration procedures2 y3 p- r$ X/ H
§ Develop and track IT budget as well as IT capital spending plan

§ Become familiar with in-house software applications (AS/400, EXE/warehouse management system, SOS, VRFS, Impromptu, Lotus Notes & others) with goal of becoming in-house expert

§ Manage user ID request and approval process in conjunction with Director of Finance- e7 ^* ^& q, C5 l/ f
§ Implementation and support of small systems technology initiatives in conjunction with SYSCO Canada IT

§ Develop and maintain good working relationships with IT related suppliers and service providers
