The IT Small Systems Specialist will be responsible for providing day to day technical support for SYSCO Edmonton. Responsibilities will include equipment management and support, basic network support and troubleshooting.

§ Provide high level of customer service to internal customers
( I" d2 S, O7 v5 m; |" ?§ Provide small systems technical support; troubleshoot problems and either resolve them independently or coordinate third party involvement in resolution 4 _! a" J& l5 x) N
§ Hardware and software installation, configuration and implementation$ X- M& T6 L7 L) _- N8 ?2 b" s( b
§ Ensure software and hardware standards and other policies are adhered to at all times
% N2 t( R6 ~+ o- b) O% K/ e, Y* ]§ Liaise with Corporate IT Helpdesk2 S. V& ~- R; d
§ Become familiar with in-house software applications (AS/400, EXE/warehouse management system, SOS, VRFS, Impromptu, Lotus Notes & others) with goal of becoming in-house expert+ A+ w) E. H: B. A- c1 j' [8 z
§ Develop and maintain good working relationships with internal and external parties

§ May be required to provide after hours pager support for emergency trouble calls

3 o& O8 X& x+ @' B* Z8 m§ University or College degree in Computer Science and at least 2 years of related work experience- P% l+ g" B; z6 ]& d6 L* P; P" p
§ Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work with others and work under minimal supervision; i! R( v) G1 ~& A3 [
§ Fundamental commitment to customer service
5 q8 k/ N# L6 w, h4 G# B7 H# D' W§ Excellent problem solving and troubleshooting skills and the ability to work on multiple issues
: T' S$ b3 [+ j( H6 t§ Proven knowledge of Dell, IBM, Xerox and Lexmark hardware
' C% t( I6 l1 m2 K: G3 P§ Experience installing, supporting and troubleshooting client desktop software& E7 G2 P+ T" o  i
§ Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot, install and support computer users with Windows 98/NT/2000/XP in a domain environment, Ethernet, TCP/IP, routers, switches, concentrators, Network Management tools (e.g. virus protection, server monitoring) and with Xerox and /or Lexmark printer problems# \" F, O' K' }6 W0 h4 q

Position Summary:
8 z) j, ~( y0 U7 VThe IT Manager will provide hands on management of all aspects of the local IT operations for SYSCO Edmonton - managing the information systems on a cost effective basis while ensuring user demands are met. This person will work closely with the SYSCO Canada Corporate IT group (located in Calgary and Toronto).

Responsibilities:
& B. v& K# W! |( K' y( v§ Manage a stable local IT environment
% X- X, M, G0 T' [§ Manage and coach staff in IT group9 Z% ?+ x" F  x) `8 f
§ Oversee and provide small systems technical support4 F8 }- u3 |) t" ^, I- I8 t
§ Reporting to the Director of Finance and management on a monthly basis on status of IT projects and initiatives
, y8 U% O2 ?8 F' f7 X! `§ Work with auditors (internal and external) – respond to requests, prepare response to audit reports' b4 J& M4 A+ ]( Q$ q  L
§ Hardware and software configuration and implementation: S$ O: J! y( l$ [
§ Manage and track all technology assets including ensuring that all software licenses are documented and adhered to
# ~' m! ]$ ]4 ~- X: b7 t§ Ensure software and hardware standards and other policies are adhered to at all times
0 w& P* r' u3 R( r6 L§ Perform network administration at the domain level; managing user accounts and network access9 K& @1 G. r0 `4 A. e6 m" G& B
§ Develop and maintain backup and restoration procedures* Y  P0 @# l1 C& [: w
§ Develop and track IT budget as well as IT capital spending plan! `* [) j8 G, F1 B' r7 H8 w
§ Liaise with Corporate IT Helpdesk
! q$ s) ~1 K1 s8 Z: t! A§ Become familiar with in-house software applications (AS/400, EXE/warehouse management system, SOS, VRFS, Impromptu, Lotus Notes & others) with goal of becoming in-house expert

§ Implementation and support of small systems technology initiatives in conjunction with SYSCO Canada IT3 k5 \% W! E, R
§ Coordinate and support end user training

呵呵,不是manager 就是administration.$ Z+ Q/ O+ r; r; u* ^" o

" U* v4 r1 v/ l; n4 f* b  W在国内应征的话还敢。在这里既没加拿大经验,英语也不好,想都不去想这些位置啊。
