举例说，干十天，回来休4天，就是一种turnaround.

Turn around mean shutdown.
It could be the whole plant or part of the plant shutdown, depend on the schedule.

I think you are talking about Suncor main plant, here in Suncor Firebag we have 2 weeks of turnaround in September.

' }3 d$ Z1 f4 H+ b' aI printed the words above at a paper. I presented it at today’s morning safety meeting and asked the meaning of “TRUNAROUND”.. There were nobody really knew the meaning of “TURNAROUND”.
  Y1 M) r- m5 lOne local 424 member said” TURNAROUND means ten days on 4 days off.”
% ]5 S8 J3 h# E' V# m+ i5 uAnother said:” maybe means shutdown.”
; q: h/ a3 U$ |( p; uMy foreman said: “ I am not sure. Maybe it is a couple of days. It is better to call the dispatch office to know.”
