      Children’s Summer Program Coordinator, 2010

; X- r/ X; P$ ~' q- FResponsibilities:
$ b7 A" B, }& }  j! @6 O, L-        Organize, plan, and facilitate the Children’s Summer Program (ages 6 to 15)
-        Recruit children for summer programs
9 o* ^, z$ ^8 ~! o$ X-        Recruit and train volunteers for summer programs
" X6 W) Q$ z% h: I) F-        Budgeting and record keeping
& H" ^* j" p9 y2 q0 y4 g$ |" w-        Provide orientation for parents
9 }2 x& R5 ?: D% m- a& U+ ~: Q- s0 k9 {-        Prepare final end of summer report for funding agency
- [" `, s* }  l& C-        Act according to the guidance or direction of the Senior Program Manager

Qualifications:
7 I! _; K" P4 b+ r-        Post secondary student in Education, Physical Education and Recreation, Early Childhood Development, or equivalent of experience and education
( ]  `; L3 b% `- e% }$ u-        Should have direct experience planning and delivering recreation programs to children
-        Good coordinating, communicating and interpersonal skills
* ~. ~+ C2 n8 G-        Must enjoy sports and other athletic activities
-        Fluency in English and Chinese or Cantonese
* w0 M% O. ?1 m! Z  C1 @' F' ?/ t-        Demonstrate strong leadership abilities
4 @# e+ C. B+ Z# E$ ?+ f-        Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
) B4 C" d* q9 P8 x% V  Q4 Q-        Returning student to post-secondary institution in Fall 2010
-        Have current first aid certificate
+ o1 u. j) }2 R$ W! d-        Successful applicants must undergo security and child welfare check at own expense

8 i! B& `, z! ~3 [! w1 W. a-        Hours of work: Monday to Friday from 9:00am to 4:00pm (30 hours/week) in May and June (planning) and 8:30am to 4:30pm (40 hours/week) in July and August(summer camps)
