, C- ?3 }5 }: K8 r% fAssists in the planning, organization and implementation of meaningful programs for the residents of the Extended Care Centre in collaboration with the Activation Manager.
Works co-operatively with the Activation Manager, facility volunteers, families and other staff members.
6 r5 z! V( k$ d& B/ CMaintains appropriate resident and department records including assessments, evaluations of planned programs detailing anticipated individual participation.
$ B. @& U! r. y# B) ^) sMaintains effective communication and good human relations with residents, families, volunteers and staff of other departments.
& l) {8 w2 q; X1 d# wIs knowledgeable of the Resident Bill of Rights/Governing Principles and endeavors to promote it.
Participates in team conferences to plan, develop and assess individual resident care plans.
6 Y7 {) ~& \1 jQualifications
Must have a community college recreation certificate or diploma or equivalent, as approved by the Activation Manager. Experience working with seniors, particularly in a long term care setting.
' ]; R0 {# K4 S  OMust be able to communicate in written and verbal form and maintain an acceptable standard of behaviour and appearance.
0 ^) v9 X. r5 v& s" oComputer skills an asset.
+ x, K" H% F* q0 \) b& h7 ?An energetic, compassionate person who enjoys working with the elderly and who possess excellent problem solving, planning and creative abilities.
# S0 V( `1 g+ R  O, o& FProficiency in a second language is an asset.
