8 I9 S  P+ r2 A/ ]Assists in the planning, organization and implementation of meaningful programs for the residents of the Extended Care Centre in collaboration with the Activation Manager.
Works co-operatively with the Activation Manager, facility volunteers, families and other staff members.
Maintains appropriate resident and department records including assessments, evaluations of planned programs detailing anticipated individual participation.
# c( D: `& a2 p7 M5 f  b. U% IMaintains effective communication and good human relations with residents, families, volunteers and staff of other departments.
Is knowledgeable of the Resident Bill of Rights/Governing Principles and endeavors to promote it.
1 \1 B, n  `1 x1 {2 [! yParticipates in team conferences to plan, develop and assess individual resident care plans.
Qualifications
# [# p8 _/ w4 M1 F! LMust have a community college recreation certificate or diploma or equivalent, as approved by the Activation Manager. Experience working with seniors, particularly in a long term care setting.
$ |# h  n+ Q6 W( \6 E0 s+ tMust be able to communicate in written and verbal form and maintain an acceptable standard of behaviour and appearance.
/ S2 G9 O3 G; d; m8 d. kComputer skills an asset.
% M& b% [- b1 z5 @: ZAn energetic, compassionate person who enjoys working with the elderly and who possess excellent problem solving, planning and creative abilities.
/ X4 W& c' Y( p6 PProficiency in a second language is an asset.
