Responsibilities:& c3 A x2 U8 c3 M J% k$ G/ k* w& A
- Design and deliver educational and preventative workshops about addictions to kids & youth
) y* p# G2 l! \) L) F/ j5 S! p- Work with a team of actors to develop and deliver of a touring play about problem gambling4 J4 S0 l) N- x1 U: Q5 E
- Build and sustain relationships with schools, social service agencies and community groups+ _- i( z2 H( H" n& ?0 [2 Q( P7 A
- Identify community needs and best practices in the area of addictions prevention and further develop the program to meet those needs
! _$ g1 z; m/ U& t& e/ Z: a- Complete regular reporting to Alberta Health Services – Addictions & Mental Health

- Post secondary degree or diploma in social/human sciences3 D+ k. l4 J4 I0 T/ }
- At least 2 years experience in the fields of addictions & mental health, education, health promotion, public health or youth engagement" a0 M* I4 F# T0 q
- Strong ability to work well with youth, community workers, teachers and others. Z3 R$ i: t( u
- Experience doing program development. R4 r0 j0 o4 C& m
- Strong organizational and coordination skills
& Y, R! R) V# f* G0 r6 u+ Y- Self-directed and able to take initiative
: H f, e2 d, E5 Y- j4 ]* M( c- Excellent English verbal and written communication skills; fluency in an Asian language is an asset
