Responsibilities:5 D1 e9 y: ?5 x
- Design and deliver educational and preventative workshops about addictions to kids & youth7 a- u; K( |- i M4 B1 p2 [0 y! m
- Work with a team of actors to develop and deliver of a touring play about problem gambling
) m, e% D5 s. \( N% s; v- Build and sustain relationships with schools, social service agencies and community groups
" D( Q c: N9 z' q- Identify community needs and best practices in the area of addictions prevention and further develop the program to meet those needs
* t5 J' h ?2 Y, m& U8 ?" v1 r- Complete regular reporting to Alberta Health Services – Addictions & Mental Health. m1 U" t& S: `: e. C2 ?, ^5 l

Key Qualifications:$ e' s( O% J- k& b7 z" h3 E: f3 _
- Post secondary degree or diploma in social/human sciences# S* [7 i9 U- ]. s2 ^1 ^$ u
- At least 2 years experience in the fields of addictions & mental health, education, health promotion, public health or youth engagement
6 B% v' ?/ b) v; K0 ~, n3 r |- Strong ability to work well with youth, community workers, teachers and others# W+ D' w: R( i5 g9 H2 z
- Experience doing program development4 u: g' Y; a/ ^4 Q, R4 S+ @6 s2 f
- Strong organizational and coordination skills
" N5 F+ \' P& R7 B z, d8 \- Self-directed and able to take initiative/ v! f! z4 D( h$ G/ ^/ \
- Excellent English verbal and written communication skills; fluency in an Asian language is an asset0 f$ @. p* d' j
- Vehicle and valid drivers’ license

- An understanding of the relationship between addictions and mental health
