Position: Project Coordinator, Smart Choices.
  k, u9 z5 {* h) hTerms: Full-time (35 hours per week).
Compensation: Based on experience & qualifications.

-        Design and deliver educational and preventative workshops about addictions to kids & youth
-        Work with a team of actors to develop and deliver of a touring play about problem gambling
-        Build and sustain relationships with schools, social service agencies and community groups
- M2 v3 y1 u) `' v% C-        Identify community needs and best practices in the area of addictions prevention and further develop the program to meet those needs
-        Complete regular reporting to Alberta Health Services – Addictions & Mental Health

Key Qualifications:
-        Post secondary degree or diploma in social/human sciences
' L0 D3 ^$ R( ?4 e-        At least 2 years experience in the fields of addictions & mental health, education, health promotion, public health or youth engagement
! d2 P# @  h% P5 H/ x" K; P+ B0 C-        Strong ability to work well with youth, community workers, teachers and others
-        Experience doing program development
-        Strong organizational and coordination skills
-        Self-directed and able to take initiative
# ~5 r, S7 c2 r& T3 l2 u/ }5 P-        Excellent English verbal and written communication skills; fluency in an Asian language is an asset
-        Vehicle and valid drivers’ license

Assets:
' d% W+ C7 i. z3 @3 G. U2 n6 c-        Experience conducting community needs assessments and program evaluation
-        Knowledge of and experience working with immigrant and refugee communities
/ z" M( p) }1 w8 a7 f-        An understanding of the relationship between addictions and mental health
-        Skills in marketing & promotions
0 f5 k$ \) L# l* D1 W9 L5 p-        Some evening and weekend work may be required
