Position: Project Coordinator, Smart Choices.

- Design and deliver educational and preventative workshops about addictions to kids & youth8 B0 P& l, m2 t' G) ]
- Work with a team of actors to develop and deliver of a touring play about problem gambling* N" u* d5 A% d& U P( \8 ?$ [; C; f
- Build and sustain relationships with schools, social service agencies and community groups
- M2 v3 y1 u) `' v% C- Identify community needs and best practices in the area of addictions prevention and further develop the program to meet those needs& C* Z- K8 f4 i! n$ y" H4 W, p/ _
- Complete regular reporting to Alberta Health Services – Addictions & Mental Health3 J. \4 ?7 W% {' H) v9 s( R% _
" U- {4 a0 U1 f; E% B$ J* ~8 D$ D) _+ h# y' k7 M
Key Qualifications:% ^" p0 _3 ^7 T8 {
- Post secondary degree or diploma in social/human sciences
' L0 D3 ^$ R( ?4 e- At least 2 years experience in the fields of addictions & mental health, education, health promotion, public health or youth engagement
! d2 P# @ h% P5 H/ x" K; P+ B0 C- Strong ability to work well with youth, community workers, teachers and others0 i. ~2 _* v+ c2 t' N+ v) l+ q
- Experience doing program development6 D, V6 P. o4 m7 B2 M3 i, q' u6 Q
- Strong organizational and coordination skills' m' J; n1 g3 _9 P$ q: i4 j& e
- Self-directed and able to take initiative
# ~5 r, S7 c2 r& T3 l2 u/ }5 P- Excellent English verbal and written communication skills; fluency in an Asian language is an asset" y5 g$ x. X5 T: }" C
- Vehicle and valid drivers’ license* l2 \6 l8 s" I: |; R7 C3 V' x

Assets:

- Knowledge of and experience working with immigrant and refugee communities
