Responsibilities:
- X* F6 ^# _: u/ c" c4 L* ~- Design and deliver educational and preventative workshops about addictions to kids & youth
, p8 O1 l6 v {/ u- Work with a team of actors to develop and deliver of a touring play about problem gambling
6 z- {* Y9 N e7 Y' [- Build and sustain relationships with schools, social service agencies and community groups
2 V/ ?0 H9 a8 M+ N5 ?! R) t9 b- Identify community needs and best practices in the area of addictions prevention and further develop the program to meet those needs# a/ n' A; |) W4 ?6 L9 o5 ~
- Complete regular reporting to Alberta Health Services – Addictions & Mental Health8 Z$ E9 X8 {' I4 |' M) \

_- T# [& r& N) g; GKey Qualifications:
# Y) v1 N, M5 o$ {! g, h- Post secondary degree or diploma in social/human sciences4 L3 t4 R; j2 r" s
- At least 2 years experience in the fields of addictions & mental health, education, health promotion, public health or youth engagement
' t, ?3 S; i4 L1 h! i6 R- Strong ability to work well with youth, community workers, teachers and others0 n& p' ^9 q3 s2 x' E
- Experience doing program development
0 A4 ~& _, |8 E5 @- Strong organizational and coordination skills7 Z2 N$ q$ `" v4 u0 f5 Z
- Self-directed and able to take initiative
, h6 L# v# y7 ^' H( r3 g- Excellent English verbal and written communication skills; fluency in an Asian language is an asset
; T) a \& @' Z# g# h+ `- Vehicle and valid drivers’ license7 Z5 \$ N. R; j5 p% L3 \: `) q

- Knowledge of and experience working with immigrant and refugee communities
