Terms: Full-time (35 hours per week).

Responsibilities:
-        Design and deliver educational and preventative workshops about addictions to kids & youth
-        Work with a team of actors to develop and deliver of a touring play about problem gambling
-        Build and sustain relationships with schools, social service agencies and community groups
-        Identify community needs and best practices in the area of addictions prevention and further develop the program to meet those needs
-        Complete regular reporting to Alberta Health Services – Addictions & Mental Health

0 [' n( J3 W' F. k3 c0 j% KKey Qualifications:
-        Post secondary degree or diploma in social/human sciences
-        At least 2 years experience in the fields of addictions & mental health, education, health promotion, public health or youth engagement
( T' N5 l, U$ t5 y: n/ g  o( i-        Strong ability to work well with youth, community workers, teachers and others
-        Experience doing program development
+ z, _1 k+ P1 ~-        Strong organizational and coordination skills
6 R6 z7 f1 Q+ N3 G! }-        Self-directed and able to take initiative
-        Excellent English verbal and written communication skills; fluency in an Asian language is an asset
-        Vehicle and valid drivers’ license


Assets:
-        Experience conducting community needs assessments and program evaluation
: p0 R% B& F* R. h# S-        Knowledge of and experience working with immigrant and refugee communities
9 u& i4 r- q) E9 {. g  x2 w-        An understanding of the relationship between addictions and mental health
' m/ U# {; L4 F0 e: S-        Skills in marketing & promotions
-        Some evening and weekend work may be required
