Position: Project Coordinator, Smart Choices.
' [' g$ W5 A0 X/ h/ A* N) ~Terms: Full-time (35 hours per week).
Compensation: Based on experience & qualifications.

Responsibilities:
! k5 y( a+ ^* H* U& ?-        Design and deliver educational and preventative workshops about addictions to kids & youth
-        Work with a team of actors to develop and deliver of a touring play about problem gambling
-        Build and sustain relationships with schools, social service agencies and community groups
: w; g$ q# t( V-        Identify community needs and best practices in the area of addictions prevention and further develop the program to meet those needs
-        Complete regular reporting to Alberta Health Services – Addictions & Mental Health

Key Qualifications:
-        Post secondary degree or diploma in social/human sciences
0 F2 n/ o( C- ?  \4 Q-        At least 2 years experience in the fields of addictions & mental health, education, health promotion, public health or youth engagement
; j6 o! f1 e1 P8 S( @-        Strong ability to work well with youth, community workers, teachers and others
: V2 g3 V  [6 B1 \-        Experience doing program development
7 \, E, x5 `4 j-        Strong organizational and coordination skills
) p+ w; }: C+ w* P-        Self-directed and able to take initiative
6 L7 V. t7 `* @5 {" e-        Excellent English verbal and written communication skills; fluency in an Asian language is an asset
-        Vehicle and valid drivers’ license

5 T8 k2 W( v& R-        Experience conducting community needs assessments and program evaluation
-        Knowledge of and experience working with immigrant and refugee communities
) _6 O0 N& ?" V; v-        An understanding of the relationship between addictions and mental health
-        Skills in marketing & promotions
! K. |4 U+ \1 i0 r  {-        Some evening and weekend work may be required
