To qualify for an Alberta Qualification Certificate based on work experience, a person must:, r+ ?" ~7 B0 O k U4 T) ?( K; B% f
, a s7 O, f4 V( Z, R* {3 Khave at least 8,775 hours and 72 months of ‘hands-on’ work experience as an electrician
3 g$ z# g8 X, b* l0 ^Time spent on supervisory or foreman duties, counter work, heading the tool crib, or on a training course is NOT counted as ‘hands-on’ work experience.* i( g+ N0 T3 x$ O5 i W
+ o, c7 B$ k; p2 ^/ H" X2 k
complete the Qualification Certificate - Work Experience Application and submit it to an Apprenticeship and Industry Training Office

. k7 Q6 `' h& rpay the non-refundable fees as identified on the application noted above 9 V, c u% ^8 [: o) p1 ^
This application fee covers the verification and assessment of the applicant's work experience hours/months as well as one attempt at the Qualification Certificate theory examination. The Qualification Certificate practical examination requires a separate fee as identified on the application noted above.. x+ V3 V9 r0 n' ?! k
