THE EDMONTON REGION IMMIGRANT COUNCIL WOULD LIKE TO INVITE YOU TO PARTICIPATE IN THE 24/4 MENTORSHIP PILOT PROGRAM:
6 N- O# h6 p7 q$ \: e24 HOURS OVER 4 MONTHS
. x2 ^  ^. }  n) H% e4 wThis fall, the Edmonton Region Immigrant Employment Council (ERIEC) will be launching a mentorship pilot program, where we aim to match skilled immigrants with mentors in their occupations.
Eligibility Criteria
) X9 d8 J& C. a8 `6 ?4 J5 e, _All potential mentee candidates are required to meet the following criteria:
) o6 b. j; J4 q3 J0 W& y; x& _•An internationally educated professional living in Canada for three years or less
, j. {# Q" v6 \•Have a minimum of a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent post secondary education
•Have Canadian Language Benchmark (CLB) level 7 or higher in oral English
5 F# z( e3 i; D•At least three years work experience in their area of expertise outside of Canada
5 f- J7 l: k1 ~: e- p/ E  g•No prior Canadian work experience in their field
) o6 q+ w! k' s2 j; G/ C. x•Be unemployed or underemployed – working for 20 hours a week or less
•Be eligible to work in Canada
1 |" \& F& O' D2 B•Have a job ready resume and have completed a job search workshop
•Lack access to professional networks
/ Q8 B: F6 D/ T•Be motivated to participate and be open to learning
Time Commitment
4 V/ B. s# h. ZThe maximum number of hours involved in the ERIEC mentorship program is 6 hours a month for a total of 24 hours over 4 months.  This works out to approximately one and a half hours per week.
