- [5 @! {" O0 D' A# G$ YTHE EDMONTON REGION IMMIGRANT COUNCIL WOULD LIKE TO INVITE YOU TO PARTICIPATE IN THE 24/4 MENTORSHIP PILOT PROGRAM:
24 HOURS OVER 4 MONTHS
This fall, the Edmonton Region Immigrant Employment Council (ERIEC) will be launching a mentorship pilot program, where we aim to match skilled immigrants with mentors in their occupations.
, Z. L' h  I+ p6 U0 X+ tEligibility Criteria
8 b5 t2 L1 Q, d8 z' J/ q% c. DAll potential mentee candidates are required to meet the following criteria:
1 @! i  {4 r, `; c•An internationally educated professional living in Canada for three years or less
; U# N; j4 R, K6 y  D" A•Have a minimum of a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent post secondary education
•Have Canadian Language Benchmark (CLB) level 7 or higher in oral English
, }0 C4 E7 z: r: z3 K7 v3 ^•At least three years work experience in their area of expertise outside of Canada
•No prior Canadian work experience in their field
•Be unemployed or underemployed – working for 20 hours a week or less
2 w; t- L! v* X; F% f- e9 g•Be eligible to work in Canada
& l1 I( n% J" a% \* e% `; O9 s•Have a job ready resume and have completed a job search workshop
•Lack access to professional networks
) N. l0 B( K- r# d% r6 [' c•Be motivated to participate and be open to learning
Time Commitment
3 l0 x6 \* G' T: V- i+ r# LThe maximum number of hours involved in the ERIEC mentorship program is 6 hours a month for a total of 24 hours over 4 months.  This works out to approximately one and a half hours per week.
