' f! x/ h, v; `6 A( V& y) q* G. z+ qTHE EDMONTON REGION IMMIGRANT COUNCIL WOULD LIKE TO INVITE YOU TO PARTICIPATE IN THE 24/4 MENTORSHIP PILOT PROGRAM:
24 HOURS OVER 4 MONTHS
This fall, the Edmonton Region Immigrant Employment Council (ERIEC) will be launching a mentorship pilot program, where we aim to match skilled immigrants with mentors in their occupations.
: a" C" W- N- D* Z- {7 T5 kEligibility Criteria
All potential mentee candidates are required to meet the following criteria:
' E$ N: {6 y( F- K& p: o•An internationally educated professional living in Canada for three years or less
$ v( D, [8 K# ?/ w$ c•Have a minimum of a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent post secondary education
•Have Canadian Language Benchmark (CLB) level 7 or higher in oral English
3 \! S; D/ @( c% Z•At least three years work experience in their area of expertise outside of Canada
* {& t9 _$ D' c) ?3 P  {•No prior Canadian work experience in their field
6 ~1 d: N  p( k+ h•Be unemployed or underemployed – working for 20 hours a week or less
•Be eligible to work in Canada
•Have a job ready resume and have completed a job search workshop
•Lack access to professional networks
•Be motivated to participate and be open to learning

The maximum number of hours involved in the ERIEC mentorship program is 6 hours a month for a total of 24 hours over 4 months.  This works out to approximately one and a half hours per week.
