1 _3 @$ w2 b, }" X: z% aTHE EDMONTON REGION IMMIGRANT COUNCIL WOULD LIKE TO INVITE YOU TO PARTICIPATE IN THE 24/4 MENTORSHIP PILOT PROGRAM:

4 b* q% B% D- \/ h" t, AThis fall, the Edmonton Region Immigrant Employment Council (ERIEC) will be launching a mentorship pilot program, where we aim to match skilled immigrants with mentors in their occupations.
. J4 Y+ ~$ `- t; PEligibility Criteria
7 @. O/ q) i5 Y5 N HAll potential mentee candidates are required to meet the following criteria:
0 p7 l' U/ r6 p: P5 P5 Q•An internationally educated professional living in Canada for three years or less
; t* M1 }4 N: ~9 i5 t6 o: r& j•Have a minimum of a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent post secondary education" e! e5 f, _$ [4 h+ L; t" i8 ]
•Have Canadian Language Benchmark (CLB) level 7 or higher in oral English; @3 f, I5 w I4 D* a1 }
•At least three years work experience in their area of expertise outside of Canada
* J% E! P: R9 [•No prior Canadian work experience in their field
D, j0 Y2 e& F/ G- m" b% S$ f l•Be unemployed or underemployed – working for 20 hours a week or less& `8 E- u5 s8 ]5 U8 p
•Be eligible to work in Canada
, y/ ]' L" O2 }. p•Have a job ready resume and have completed a job search workshop
' a) y' x7 I* A; D0 x+ m•Lack access to professional networks; O% A% s! f6 U8 ~! x) D
•Be motivated to participate and be open to learning, j+ W5 A7 C, p( G6 w6 g
Time Commitment, D# x$ \5 N$ p( U/ R% ^
The maximum number of hours involved in the ERIEC mentorship program is 6 hours a month for a total of 24 hours over 4 months. This works out to approximately one and a half hours per week.
