THE EDMONTON REGION IMMIGRANT COUNCIL WOULD LIKE TO INVITE YOU TO PARTICIPATE IN THE 24/4 MENTORSHIP PILOT PROGRAM:
24 HOURS OVER 4 MONTHS
8 n* F" y) ?! n7 ]! KThis fall, the Edmonton Region Immigrant Employment Council (ERIEC) will be launching a mentorship pilot program, where we aim to match skilled immigrants with mentors in their occupations.
+ r2 N- l, x( W6 _/ hEligibility Criteria
  i/ U5 h: z. x! b; l( M3 p* Z* m4 DAll potential mentee candidates are required to meet the following criteria:
8 x0 i# i& n( R) H+ d•An internationally educated professional living in Canada for three years or less
  b* g. R3 C( A/ I5 T% ^- t•Have a minimum of a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent post secondary education
) d1 @3 V) d5 N. A+ D•Have Canadian Language Benchmark (CLB) level 7 or higher in oral English
•At least three years work experience in their area of expertise outside of Canada
$ @: x/ ]  c8 R6 `1 }* Q•No prior Canadian work experience in their field
( ]* p$ N. o4 U0 Q•Be unemployed or underemployed – working for 20 hours a week or less
# j  x: g# x+ m5 j8 }* e7 n•Be eligible to work in Canada
•Have a job ready resume and have completed a job search workshop
•Lack access to professional networks
•Be motivated to participate and be open to learning
4 h+ Q+ j( t! [3 E9 e8 j. Q  L* `Time Commitment
* m; G7 G& r& f. H" U" b1 Z( Y7 C: fThe maximum number of hours involved in the ERIEC mentorship program is 6 hours a month for a total of 24 hours over 4 months.  This works out to approximately one and a half hours per week.
