Police Service Preparation Program

9 Y3 t. B% _% S$ |, LThis program is for immigrants and members of visible minorities who have an interest in a career in law enforcement.

/ g; Y& x2 I8 IStart date: November 2, 2009 End date: March 31, 2010.
Programs run from Monday to Friday, 8:30am to 4:00pm
Location: Edmonton Mennonite Centre for Newcomers, 8914 118 Avenue

Entrance Criteria
You must be/have:
# ?$ w# W. Z* [% ]# Y* i3 o! t' U• Alberta High School Diploma (or equivalent)
# Q% J  ]- U! F, G1 x( t" C/ l• Unemployed or underemployed
• Minimum 18 years of age
" }' l" U) [. A2 O0 J4 P% x  Z2 z• Good moral character
• Good health and physical condition
• Good written and verbal communication skills – must be at a CLB 6+
- ?9 _4 q4 B" _& {$ R5 Q( S$ `8 H0 F- T• Must possess a valid class 5 driver’s license
• No criminal convictions for which a pardon has not been granted
• Eligible for financial assistance, or willing to pay tuition
