Job Description:

Determine method of shipment and arrange shipping; prepare bills of lading, customs forms, invoices and other shipping documents manually or by computer
) A2 U$ m) _/ D& Q. D$ N  MAssemble containers and crates, record contents manually or in computer system, pack goods to be shipped and affix identifying information and shipping instructions
, o; _! X3 n# M% P; dOversee loading and unloading of goods from trucks or other conveyances
$ D. J9 p0 H9 a; `! j. f8 fInspect and verify incoming goods against invoices or other documents, record shortages and reject damaged goods
2 O& i0 i! h  H. v0 UUnpack, code and route goods to appropriate storage areas
( O; R' T3 d6 J) K" a: p, r' zMaintain internal, manual or computerized record-keeping systems
5 z2 v0 m6 j5 a1 vMay operate forklift, hand truck or other equipment to load, unload, transport and store goods.
