Point Pelee National Park is southeast of Windsor about an hour, near Wheatley, Kingsville and Leamington Ont.
It is the Southernmost land point of Canada , and other than group camping, is a day use park only.

# h7 N) ?! ^  S9 V- p1 YThe National Butterfly count takes place August 8th, and you can pre-register your family to take part, lots of fun for the kiddies (Too Late).
3 z! s* t) B/ E* F, i1 RGreat hiking, guides, canoe tours and rentals, bike rentals and the butterfly migration is something to see.
2 h9 f9 P7 d/ b( D" [; r  HThe ferry to Pelee Island only runs from Kingsville this year, not from Leamington in case your interested in going on the winery tours and hikes there.

+ x% M( E- |/ D4 o/ S: i$ V( VThere are also two Provincial Parks within an hours drive- Wheatley Provincial Park(closest), and Rondeau (farther to the west) if you wish to camp.
