Plan, implement and evaluate Special Events:
, R. I* g+ P, Q( N' \5 i5 I· Select and develop themes in collaboration with the Committee
M3 \/ k( Q+ _3 e& j$ J: _· Oversee event logistics: book entertainment, catering services and venue; assist
% m ]. p, \* qwith decorating; ensure tickets and invitations are available; assist with the % n( g ^, `; V+ S- s5 f
advertising of events; recruit, place and supervise volunteers for events; ensure
2 u7 h( A, h! ]7 i* [set-up and clean-up; monitor event budget and complete evaluation of events. & V( |* h# c4 L6 I
· Attend and manage Special Events
$ I6 \/ x: g7 d( ^' }& y· Attend and take minutes for Special Events Committee

Assist in developing and implementing a volunteer program: ; l9 i8 ^ ]& P
· Develop job descriptions for volunteer positions 6 H+ s) @% d& S' A6 z# O! z: y9 h) h
· Recruit, interview, screen and place prospective volunteers
% N; _! k& v4 f$ V# I; B. z· Provide initial orientation and training for new volunteers
0 e6 S3 ^! A6 l0 `( i V; A& e% Q· Ensure provision of recognition and evaluation of volunteers 6 L0 G0 D/ o/ W% R( ?9 n
· Complete program administration, statistics and records d. C3 A6 }; f

Qualifications: ! m3 {2 o3 N- F/ x; f4 p" r
· Completion of 12th
0 {, ^9 D: c3 } Grade and a minimum of a Diploma in Recreation
2 n z. [ C- O$ K% _Administration, Volunteer Management or Special Event Planning or equivalent. ( A. |! R0 N9 ~% B; D7 S. k
· At least one year of experience in Recreation Administration and some direct ) q" C4 h! `' v
experience in conducting recreational, cultural or other related events
9 D6 |% p. M$ x+ ]' L1 y; j· Experience working with and managing volunteers
2 @1 l" w% s( A3 S, a· Specialized skills and training in working with seniors
2 v; f9 c$ n1 `7 Z; U- y/ Y8 ^· Ability to instruct, organize and supervise group activities and special events
/ N; }4 B. X p+ B· Current Standard First Aid, CPR & AED training 3 i+ C' f2 G' h/ b( s) b- M: K
· Security Clearance
