Under the direction of the Program Coordinator and in collaboration with CLSA Special

Plan, implement and evaluate Special Events:
' k- |8 z* n+ s. c· Select and develop themes in collaboration with the Committee
& I0 f2 z4 c0 d9 \· Oversee event logistics: book entertainment, catering services and venue; assist ; z8 K9 S8 f x: [) R" k' ] e
with decorating; ensure tickets and invitations are available; assist with the
* u' F1 q+ K& R- |- w3 z3 @advertising of events; recruit, place and supervise volunteers for events; ensure
h N. A1 S4 vset-up and clean-up; monitor event budget and complete evaluation of events.

Duties: Volunteer Coordination
! w" {" g7 ]4 W* w4 R. ?( ^, G! XAssist in developing and implementing a volunteer program: 8 D+ h! m( ]. I6 `$ O% @2 ]
· Develop job descriptions for volunteer positions ! Y1 @& u8 }% Y m: Y$ X O1 k
· Recruit, interview, screen and place prospective volunteers
: J% }+ R6 v7 N4 e; ]· Provide initial orientation and training for new volunteers
; e4 t9 M8 L! C5 t7 u l) J0 M) j· Ensure provision of recognition and evaluation of volunteers
" q! x: e! |& n+ g· Complete program administration, statistics and records

Qualifications: : p9 |1 X! H2 |( U& C
· Completion of 12th8 G( u t3 W+ J5 H
Grade and a minimum of a Diploma in Recreation - q5 C8 n5 t. E$ m$ ~
Administration, Volunteer Management or Special Event Planning or equivalent.

experience in conducting recreational, cultural or other related events

· Specialized skills and training in working with seniors
