Position: Employment Support Worker / Starting Salary Range: $31, 162.00 to $33, 059.00 per annum / Closing Date: position remains open until filled.

0 h1 u/ j: G* \3 FAbstract: This position is responsible for providing employment assessment and counselling services + casual-temporary job placement referrals to participants.  Successful candidates must provide a criminal record and child welfare check.

0 p- d- ]: v& p  \# R+ h$ x- TSkills & Qualifications: Agreement with Bissell Centre's mission, goals and values; ability to manage time effectively and to organize tasks in a flexible way; familiarity with the culture of Edmonton's urban core neighbourhoods, understanding of Aboriginal Culture and experience working with individuals in conflict with the law; experience in providing employment services to participants with multiple barriers.

( ?# ~; D* ?6 s- }# ]; MIn addition: knowledge of Alberta's labour market and ability to market Casual Labour service to potential employers; creativity and problem solving skills; some post secondary education in a human services field with a background in employment counselling is an asset.

; q2 o2 {! c! ?: O, L7 y4 ^PLUS: Alberta Class 5 driver's license and satisfactory driver's abstract an asset; good working knowledge of MS Word/Excel computer programs; must be able to work early morning shift (6:30 AM to 2:30 PM), Wednesdays to 4:00 and Fridays until noon; must have some facilitation experience; equivalent or alternative skills will be considered.
