请教:如何选购奶酪和牛油

超市里有许多品牌的奶酪和牛油,请问如何选购?怎样吃比较好?

说说英文名吧,奶酪是不是cheese?如果是的话,有几种吃法一是cheese片,做三明治时,夹在面包里吃,有一种是细条状的,可作比萨,还有一种是粉状的可把它加些开水煮成糊状然后浇在烤好的土豆上,也可把cheese粉散在煮熟的意大利通心粉上吃。还有一种小孩喜欢吃的(不到)20公分长的cheese棒,一包里有很多根,就当零食吃。如果你买回的是立方体或长方体的话,就自己动手切成需要的形状,好象有专门的工具卖,其实中国人聪明,就用菜刀也能解决问题。至于黄色与白色的区别我不太清楚。请其他同学补充。9 {+ t/ s  B/ a/ ]5 [9 }

# y1 p0 \2 N, G+ k1 K你说牛油是哪一种呀,在国内用于起火锅底料。这里是不是butter?如果是的话,分两种,一种叫butter(块状),一种叫margarine(塑料碗装的)就是人造黄油。在洋人的食谱里常用到,至于中国用法,据说butter可以用来作馒头,成为奶油馒头,margarine嘛,烤面包时用,可用面包机烤好切片面包后,再直接涂上,也可涂上后,用烤箱烤几钟。后者好象更好吃些,小心发胖!!- D& P/ b4 Q3 {; M
& M$ s, H# p4 l( G
至于选什么牌子,我的经验是凭主妇的直觉。

There are many kinds of cheese( check the link) for different purposes but most Chinese can only handle a few of them:

Cheddar or American cheese (yellow or white): for code sandwich, cubed small chunk of snack, burger or cheesy casserole (baking), the color doesn’t decide the flavor. The cover of the cheese should say: sharp; mild, which refer to the degree of the flavor.# j; K/ u1 _( y; Y3 g: t
# R, w; u9 D: E# _) A9 @/ U3 A
Mozzarella cheese (white, no yellow color): for pizza or Italian cooking
! H( x2 J. F& f, z' p- J6 H; t+ T; i
8 s* p) c0 \" q6 `(Those are the cheese I can handle but many others I tried but no way to enjoy,  like the following: )

, n% m& @3 t- L1 C9 cSwiss cheese (white, with holes): mostly for hot sandwich/ x, g# N3 y% s; J% H0 K

Parmesan cheese (almost like powder): on top of dishes, mostly pasta.

Butter is a lot simpler:

Margarine( soft butter): mainly or spread, on bread, corn…

Cream cheese: also for spread, mostly on bagels; sometimes used for some bakery too
