Integrated Employability Skills Training gives immigrants the essential' [, R% K; g% \( T3 d
skills needed for success in the Alberta workplace. This 5-month funded' v8 I( n9 \* I" L3 p2 R
program combines classroom-based training with work site visits and work
1 R9 M! {0 h# ~" x$ \' I4 R( oexperience placements in high-demand semi-skilled occupations, such as
9 T1 I& k* r0 L: F( }5 Ewarehousing, customer service, hospitality, healthcare support, food

Candidate Profile:

6 n" F- P! n9 D) ]Candidates for this funded program must be landed immigrants, Canadian
" J+ f8 r" v4 D" jcitizens or refugees who are eligible to work in Canada and who have:
; @% V" p' K8 a' P9 T ]8 t! g* English communication skills in the 4 - 6 range on CLB
1 K( G! `9 N' s, ?; i: v* Basic literacy and numeracy skills and some secondary or post-0 W8 @" H6 p3 N% U
secondary education
% H! m3 U) s4 f* A genuine interest in finding permanent employment in a high-demand7 O" Z; ?. i9 ?2 R9 `
occupation
4 j' m9 c' V9 x* Availability to study fulltime for 5 months and then be employed
