Receptionist

The YWCA is recruiting a Receptionist. The Front Desk is the central point for internal and external communications for all departments, programs and events. A sound understanding of overall activity of the agency is essential. This is a position that requires strong customer service skills, as it works collaboratively with staff and volunteers to provide the best possible information and assistance.+ {9 E, H/ [" k1 I( W

Job Duties/Responsibilities:

• Receive and distribute mail and deliveries
& |/ G- D0 E* R+ B' s3 N• Arrange courier services for all departments% k" w/ R0 b+ B
• Oversee Y-Knit program; provide support to its volunteers2 j2 h- \; x+ \# G

• Receive sort and distribute mail and packages; post outgoing mail

• Provide clerical support (e.g. word processing, data entry, photocopying, faxing, e-mailing, printing labels, mail-outs, and filing) to all departments of the agency
# n' P/ F$ i) k: D$ g+ L• Update and maintain databases as assigned, including those for Fund Development and Administration+ Y* {% C9 g" i5 L7 X/ I
• Assist with task management for administrative volunteers
& x* c$ \; N; {$ N• Create monthly staff bulletin and prepare for distribution! k' ^, G. {& J. Z4 e6 p
• Assist Business department with weekly bank deposit and processing payments
' z. G4 z# g }" H) T• Assemble and forward information packets as requested( x: u& U$ P9 D+ V' d. h8 X/ J9 ?! l

• Accept and process registrations for participants or attendees at various special events and staff training

Qualifications:9 p- _+ o I' h8 M3 ]7 ?1 [7 \
: Z% q# W5 h5 i# e• Minimum 2 years office experience in areas related to office reception, and office procedures6 I7 ~# X: r( |3 ~4 }
• Experience and proficiency in Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
9 K7 P2 E }6 I1 K# O• Skill in Desktop publishing is an asset
