The YWCA is recruiting a Receptionist. The Front Desk is the central point for internal and external communications for all departments, programs and events. A sound understanding of overall activity of the agency is essential. This is a position that requires strong customer service skills, as it works collaboratively with staff and volunteers to provide the best possible information and assistance., _1 I+ I) p9 D& c6 M

% i6 H. W* {8 ^• Answer multi line telephone system

• Arrange courier services for all departments
5 H. d7 e; C& P- k) o, g• Oversee Y-Knit program; provide support to its volunteers

Administration# X& s- W7 b6 U! p$ V: K- d4 r/ H
• Receive sort and distribute mail and packages; post outgoing mail
# G, V% v" R, Z• Sort and distribute mail and deliveries8 e) k4 e$ x( j% v) D
• Provide clerical support (e.g. word processing, data entry, photocopying, faxing, e-mailing, printing labels, mail-outs, and filing) to all departments of the agency ) R6 @# }1 J! ^: q7 R: [7 Z
• Update and maintain databases as assigned, including those for Fund Development and Administration
7 I! ]- Q) v( v- c" p; o• Assist with task management for administrative volunteers ) @/ v+ p$ J% g/ J7 I% p( Q
• Create monthly staff bulletin and prepare for distribution- o8 H0 Q4 ~, }: ?6 u
• Assist Business department with weekly bank deposit and processing payments

Registrar
7 F3 W$ Q( f8 H: k* g% V& e• Accept and process registrations for participants or attendees at various special events and staff training

• Assist YoWoChAs Outdoor Education Registration as required4 k x m0 s: s, i

( d* t- X0 M6 R: G2 C+ FQualifications:/ W4 t/ f9 T7 C2 | ]; y( a
! D4 I% ]3 H* g% d
• Minimum 2 years office experience in areas related to office reception, and office procedures5 J3 }2 c9 _7 U/ g- m: }# m
• Experience and proficiency in Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
" F: x: N& ]0 X) l x• Skill in Desktop publishing is an asset8 ?6 a0 k# x. @
• Excellent verbal and written communications skills
