The YWCA is recruiting a Receptionist. The Front Desk is the central point for internal and external communications for all departments, programs and events. A sound understanding of overall activity of the agency is essential. This is a position that requires strong customer service skills, as it works collaboratively with staff and volunteers to provide the best possible information and assistance.

Job Duties/Responsibilities:

• Answer multi line telephone system
* l4 |$ y* d1 f& |' e" u• Receive and distribute mail and deliveries. r. l0 I6 D% o4 H. I" O
• Arrange courier services for all departments. D6 R3 d9 P) _$ |3 w
• Oversee Y-Knit program; provide support to its volunteers

Administration( q% w5 C4 _, v- W/ H! u
• Receive sort and distribute mail and packages; post outgoing mail! e. e* q8 X0 m% b" e% N7 n
• Sort and distribute mail and deliveries- Q$ e2 e, ? d8 U3 y
• Provide clerical support (e.g. word processing, data entry, photocopying, faxing, e-mailing, printing labels, mail-outs, and filing) to all departments of the agency & X( _& Y$ A1 M; n) [
• Update and maintain databases as assigned, including those for Fund Development and Administration
+ p5 Y, {- d: Z• Assist with task management for administrative volunteers
0 X: D' k9 o: D1 C9 t/ L4 d' d$ b1 o• Create monthly staff bulletin and prepare for distribution8 k% g) O# k* Y; d
• Assist Business department with weekly bank deposit and processing payments

• Accept and process registrations for participants or attendees at various special events and staff training) k, G: ]9 V# F
• Process payments for ticket orders and registrations

Qualifications:$ m9 K( d2 |3 r7 S ]0 J7 D& b

• Minimum 2 years office experience in areas related to office reception, and office procedures" u2 q4 L% s+ y% e" [* c
• Experience and proficiency in Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
0 C2 B: V& w4 H• Skill in Desktop publishing is an asset/ m; y( `8 ^0 }2 Y9 j
• Excellent verbal and written communications skills ' f$ g+ ^ r" _, C0 ?. a

• Able to interact in a positive manner with diverse population
