5 A. b q; l+ d5 ^Big Brothers Big Sisters of Edmonton and Area provides mentoring programs to more than 2,800 children, youth and families. Together with the Africa Centre, we are looking for 2 temporary full time summer student staff.

Key Responsibilities Include
7 f! o3 U9 E8 J3 ^ @* HActivity Planning and Daily Activity
. O0 }# [& B) K6 a• Assist in planning, organizing and relevant activities for children and youth to explore new avenues including leadership & life skills, recreation, and their cultural community that enhance their resilience, relationship building and leadership.1 z, k- D) s5 a0 q
• Participate in the delivery of all programs in the areas of crafts, sports and tutoring. : B" Z# a& M7 E, |
• Participate in and lead sporting activities; know and have the ability to apply game rules for basketball, soccer and volleyball,
% z m7 _5 \1 v. Q* h1 E% @5 N• Provide proper supervision in all activities to ensure the safety of the program participants.% X: j6 n# h2 |2 I2 A$ L8 f9 x9 u: S
• Supervise the children and youth at breakfast and lunch time., b8 ^; Q# ~5 [* n' @* n
• Help to maintain housekeeping standards by ensuring all program facilities are left clean after each activity and each meal.

9 {3 f/ i8 g$ {& Q• The enthusiasm and ability to work with a variety of ages of youth in a group setting
' D+ I/ E3 G: A# r• Experience with children
% y& S# K0 d' y1 Y U• Demonstrated knowledge of sporting, activity planning for youth - C: t, o/ J" m) r E
• Knowledge the English language and the ability to support math tutoring.
5 a1 v/ P' N, \8 \/ [% ?• Ability to manage time effectively and be results oriented.

• A clear vulnerable sector Security Clearance check
