. D6 A. D/ x9 B4 I0 {Big Brothers Big Sisters of Edmonton and Area provides mentoring programs to more than 2,800 children, youth and families. Together with the Africa Centre, we are looking for 2 temporary full time summer student staff.

2 Multicultural Summer Camp Program Students - X6 Q' q2 t2 V/ `4 X+ |6 q
(10 week @ 35 hours a week contract. Must be returning to school)3 ~1 i1 z- a1 {( t; p

& Q/ ]1 d% f# k8 oActivity Planning and Daily Activity
& ?. v7 p6 T N8 `6 M• Assist in planning, organizing and relevant activities for children and youth to explore new avenues including leadership & life skills, recreation, and their cultural community that enhance their resilience, relationship building and leadership.0 L$ o5 a1 F; {! P
• Participate in the delivery of all programs in the areas of crafts, sports and tutoring. # j$ A8 \7 M6 Y2 q6 z
• Participate in and lead sporting activities; know and have the ability to apply game rules for basketball, soccer and volleyball,
: K2 w+ N* @) F" T• Provide proper supervision in all activities to ensure the safety of the program participants.
; d* E9 W5 M4 @3 m" Z9 h• Supervise the children and youth at breakfast and lunch time./ E/ W: ?4 q9 L0 W% ?7 \* V5 h
• Help to maintain housekeeping standards by ensuring all program facilities are left clean after each activity and each meal.1 j' P5 G0 u1 @+ ]
, i5 ^8 o: D/ NThe successful candidate will have:
0 A7 p+ V; k" G6 s( J• The enthusiasm and ability to work with a variety of ages of youth in a group setting2 r2 k' ~0 s/ Q: Q7 S( y
• Experience with children/ Y1 i1 `) n" I
• Demonstrated knowledge of sporting, activity planning for youth 3 n5 \% X2 y+ ^- |, u* |
• Knowledge the English language and the ability to support math tutoring.* ]/ t2 g5 j8 i, U
• Ability to manage time effectively and be results oriented.$ {0 d9 y( C$ \( k# I
• Knowledge of children’s activities and community resources9 Y% N3 F! ]+ M9 p
• A clear CYIM (Child & Youth Information Management) check
" ~& q* v4 w$ X6 j4 A9 G9 k. G• A clear vulnerable sector Security Clearance check
