Summer Children’s Fitness Program Co-ordinator
Responsibilities:
4 A5 a# w4 e* k- Organize focus group(s)
& n$ p: U  Y2 s3 e+ w0 V- Organize and facilitate summer children’s program (ages 6 to 10) with focus on physical recreation, fitness, nutrition, sports
- Recruit children for summer program
- Provide orientation for parents
- Find sponsors to enhance program
- Supervise volunteer(s)
- Prepare final report for funding agency

% s" K7 J! L, Y* ?2 e) h1 X* _. l' U- post secondary student in Social Sciences, Human Sciences, Early Childhood Development, Physical Education or equivalent of experience and education
- good coordinating and interpersonal skills
1 `+ t% k; K- X+ }' |% ?: [3 J; n- communication skills
- must enjoy sports and other athletic activities
- fluency in English, other Asian languages an asset
- good computer skills
1 [: W5 p( I4 H" Y5 c+ a- leadership abilities
2 o: D( m' L4 Q+ k- ability to work independently with minimal supervision

- must undergo security and child welfare check at own expense

Salary

& ~8 U9 l; N3 Y% m# c. ]2 q- $10.50/hr for 30 hours/week, June 1 to August 31, 2005
