Has the following summer position available: June 1 – August 16, 2005 (40 hours per week)

Housing Program Worker

Key Responsibilities:
: u' q& ?. s; x To plan, organize and implement residential and housing support programs for adults and families who access the YMCA’s Transitional Housing Program.
% d0 j1 r4 Y& { To assist residents to register for on-site housing and support programs
1 p! n- H' y7 w7 M, V To help promote the program in the community.
 To provide some evening and weekend program supports.
( H. u" n# B' Y/ o* @2 I To supervise volunteers assigned to the program.
4 S9 j7 V; T8 `5 P& k To document assigned activities and prepare reports as necessary.
, J$ u4 l% \# T To operate within the approved budget and follow all YMCA Policies and Procedures.
 To contribute as a member of our staff team in the operation of the Transitional Housing Program.

# T' Q1 @* H4 D0 e6 z- [Qualifications:  (Applicants must meet all qualifications to apply)
5 G7 s' d5 x  s7 @3 ]& v7 R 2 years education as a post secondary student in Human Services or Social Work
 Experience in human services, social housing and/or work with high needs populations.
 Well developed communication and interpersonal skills.
% D6 N, ]4 @$ G5 n6 T3 a4 V6 c Current CPR and First Aid certifications
* R) j# T; S( L. N) @- U# | Completed, current & cleared Child Welfare Check & Police Security Clearance
