support the production and exhibition of film, video and media artists from Northern 3 a0 d4 R9 L6 f
Alberta.

FAVA serves members with diverse backgrounds and levels of experience, ranging from
( N2 T, | i* K: E* ~0 cemerging, mid-range to established artists with an unwavering passion for film, video & t0 C) W( V+ G" E, Y6 M8 S
and media art. FAVA offers: a variety of workshops for artistic and skill development; is a 6 ^& i, A& B9 s! Y, {0 N
resource for production equipment and post-production facilities; hosts events and
0 A& p$ k- }, m; m+ ^; W* `: Qscreenings; and fosters and develops a dynamic media arts community in Northern

# \2 [9 _, |+ w e6 zJob Description: The Librarian will report to the Executive Director and work with the 0 H; S/ ] L* e' @4 U" w, M& U& f, X
FAVA staff by organizing and updating two libraries: the film, video and digital library; as : H. S/ f3 @5 y( {2 f) B
well as the script, magazine and book library. $ q8 p& B9 p; A: F

Duties:
0 n, Y6 i3 n! f3 L; c$ h& p- Sort and catalogue the film, video and digital library % u5 ]/ \; v+ D: `7 P' X5 C
- Sort and catalogue scripts, magazine and books
8 Z c/ X. q6 h! k! N) G2 Q6 e- Implement a catalogue template for future use
/ o9 t4 |7 W P( W5 i- Update and develop loaning policy and procedure : M, \$ F2 x" K) E. R3 y
- Enforce FAVA’s standard of use policies where applicable

- Applicants must be unemployed and attending (or have recently completed) a post-3 Z5 ?0 Y- F3 m0 J5 n# S
secondary training, university preferred

- Strong organizational skills
/ }1 z) I+ g: T3 e- Experience or training in library sciences preferred
