; S; Q, B, w3 o8 N; |FAVA serves members with diverse backgrounds and levels of experience, ranging from

and media art. FAVA offers: a variety of workshops for artistic and skill development; is a

! g9 s$ R$ ]/ V3 M# M; WJob Description: The Film, Video & Media Arts Assistant will report to the Executive
* s! r3 L+ C1 R& V5 x( Q0 {- CDirector and work with the Production Coordinator and Maintenance Coordinator by + P2 a" M& c0 U' W* N4 |
assisting in the day-to-day operations of the Production Department.

Duties: 4 t6 P0 `0 V/ [9 t5 c
- Assist with research on acquisition grants
9 j. X3 d3 F1 L3 E! r7 C' i$ e4 y$ V" J9 N2 R- Assist with production and post-production gear and facilities
1 p0 a( e, l" c6 D6 D+ W: d( s" T- Assist with equipment maintenance
0 z8 @, z8 c" y0 ]* M; E! v- Assist with production logistics for programming events
+ K! ^ e( [$ @. w0 q- Assist with communication with members and interoffice staff
/ ?4 q8 j& Q6 ~, G3 s7 Y- Enforce FAVA’s standard of use policies where applicable & p$ z/ e. j( ]0 k
- Provide vacation relief

- A passionate interest in film, video and media arts
8 m |& g8 i! b- Advance skills in technical aspects of film and video equipment
1 C. K7 U# ^3 l: S- B& I5 i @8 Q- Advance organizational and research skills
