Summer Job Opportunity for Children’s Summer Program Coordinator, 2009

Responsibilities:- C, Q3 V3 `6 ?. j
- Organize, plan, and facilitate the Children’s Summer Program & [; f( c2 S6 C: ]7 k
(ages 6 to 15) / g1 d- [7 _2 `7 j U
- Recruit children for summer programs1 U7 L/ N. n1 j- t" j6 u1 f
- Recruit volunteers for summer programs" j3 p( ~" f) i" X! N' V4 j0 V/ e% \9 w
- Record keeping: } v/ N* b7 Z5 C$ `4 ]$ V
- Provide orientation for parents
6 n! k' @0 g4 K6 V& x% o/ I- Prepare final end of summer report for funding agency; Z8 [& U" \/ p; g6 X( j
- Act according to the guidance or direction of the Senior Program Manager( y. y7 o' Z9 X( x5 K; `* W
& G; T% b5 ~$ h- F) NQualifications:. _! C# e# M" n! V- X, W" z; a+ L
- Post secondary student in Education, Social Sciences, Human Sciences, Early Childhood Development, Physical Education or equivalent of experience and education0 I; I4 K4 ^" d; J, @
- Should have direct experience planning and delivering recreation programs to children
. f' a8 u' `6 c6 F- Good coordinating, communicating and interpersonal skills" A( t" C3 W/ E
- Must enjoy sports and other athletic activities0 Y* s! `7 e. L& l
- Fluency in English and Chinese or Cantonese
0 o K4 X+ ? m- Demonstrate strong leadership abilities

- Successful applicants must undergo security and child welfare check at own expense

$ X M y" g& E* t# [# U- Hours of work: Monday to Friday from 9:00am to 5:00pm (35 hours/week) in May and June(planning) 1 O) m+ g' A4 j8 ], N
and 8:30am to 4:30pm (35 hours/week) in July and August(summer camps)
