Summer Job Opportunity for Children’s Summer Program Coordinator, 2009

- Organize, plan, and facilitate the Children’s Summer Program
- S- C8 ~% y0 c, m n. i (ages 6 to 15)
% n! H8 D( E3 t+ u1 {6 q- Recruit children for summer programs7 r: e) [' _3 C7 d9 e
- Recruit volunteers for summer programs4 |1 s0 c" o8 W0 Z9 f' O' y
- Record keeping
& W+ u7 b" ^' x7 {% K* q' S" @) v- Provide orientation for parents5 E6 }- |0 f3 i* p
- Prepare final end of summer report for funding agency* T) H- U K2 x5 i1 p( A
- Act according to the guidance or direction of the Senior Program Manager

- Post secondary student in Education, Social Sciences, Human Sciences, Early Childhood Development, Physical Education or equivalent of experience and education
3 v7 g1 R& p/ A- Should have direct experience planning and delivering recreation programs to children( c+ U2 f- R% c% \! M
- Good coordinating, communicating and interpersonal skills
& H- O! n+ K% v, ?( \* j- Must enjoy sports and other athletic activities- l. B, [- |0 j2 w8 g, Q
- Fluency in English and Chinese or Cantonese5 J0 e# I, @; x/ }8 ~4 ]3 T# W
- Demonstrate strong leadership abilities% [% I1 O- B3 U! w
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision! v$ w) H6 O% X( K* s
- Returning student (should return to school after summer), a( O! U6 _. R$ E
- Successful applicants must undergo security and child welfare check at own expense7 j. t$ I/ _( A5 d X" l0 r" k

- Hours of work: Monday to Friday from 9:00am to 5:00pm (35 hours/week) in May and June(planning)

- Employment term is May 11 to August 31, 2009

Salary
