Summer Job Opportunity for Children’s Summer Program Coordinator, 2009. f- H: Q' T7 Y5 p4 F! m' n

- z# |, W e# n: w, T- Organize, plan, and facilitate the Children’s Summer Program
$ I8 e: t& X8 t9 d (ages 6 to 15) + D! P: |0 v4 f) e' A' ^
- Recruit children for summer programs
6 h2 T. ]: U" D: Q' y" t- Recruit volunteers for summer programs o, b7 g, W7 `+ V" i
- Record keeping# M ?+ M2 Z8 j& e/ Z( h5 B2 m
- Provide orientation for parents
0 ]: k, Q: R' W2 y- Prepare final end of summer report for funding agency- a0 K7 Z1 J Y/ q+ A
- Act according to the guidance or direction of the Senior Program Manager

Qualifications:
* G* l% p ^* U4 |- Post secondary student in Education, Social Sciences, Human Sciences, Early Childhood Development, Physical Education or equivalent of experience and education8 \4 H; d* t2 H
- Should have direct experience planning and delivering recreation programs to children
; V* s/ t2 q7 p2 e$ K/ s9 \- Good coordinating, communicating and interpersonal skills8 u W. H/ @0 `6 ?8 @( [$ i) _
- Must enjoy sports and other athletic activities
# N6 L9 N! U, Z2 g, x1 V- Fluency in English and Chinese or Cantonese
" C+ m, q$ w5 a& a! G/ \) s5 v/ q m- Demonstrate strong leadership abilities( F2 y, p, `2 F9 n
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision$ i7 `. N5 Q) J# r! ]( h
- Returning student (should return to school after summer)

% ~0 g5 S3 a# r* S( b8 \" D- Hours of work: Monday to Friday from 9:00am to 5:00pm (35 hours/week) in May and June(planning)
- h5 e4 _( J& @ and 8:30am to 4:30pm (35 hours/week) in July and August(summer camps)
" l7 h/ e7 _ @- Employment term is May 11 to August 31, 2009
