* ^6 Q" e- E/ F V; BAbstract: Mill Woods Family Resource Centre Society offers a long-term Home Visitation Program that provides weekly in-home support to families with children under the age of 5 and those with pre-natal needs. The Coordinator will be responsible for: day to day operation of program; supervision of 4 Family Home Visitors; and provision of some frontline service.0 P9 z( M4 i. G1 p7 A& ]3 A
$ ?: N1 j5 J, l" SDesired education, experience/skills: a minimum of a 4 year degree in a related human services field; administrative & supervisory experience/working in partnership with colleagues & other service providers; 3 years experience working with families/children, including those who are marginalized and/or culturally diverse; solid knowledge of child development and family dynamics; knowledge in maternal and infant health and knowledge in prevention of child abuse and neglect.& ~0 z* E9 z) A# r

E uIn addition: experience providing support to families in their homes is desired; familiar with community resources to facilitate appropriate referrals; Team player; computer literate; proficient verbal/written English; experience parenting own children an asset.3 H% ?8 m+ o7 A' b6 h% O* r
% `7 d* U8 ^! b- F# X$ YPLUS: Valid Police & Alberta Children's Services Intervention Check; willing to work flexible schedule - daytime, evenings and weekends; access to a reliable vehicle; available for one-time travel to the United States for training.
