[# s. z5 Z4 {! ]7 kAbstract: Mill Woods Family Resource Centre Society offers a long-term Home Visitation Program that provides weekly in-home support to families with children under the age of 5 and those with pre-natal needs. The Coordinator will be responsible for: day to day operation of program; supervision of 4 Family Home Visitors; and provision of some frontline service.+ f" X; d3 o4 L: k* r, U: ^9 Z; {
& V2 t b: x" b, s& D( h7 a- WDesired education, experience/skills: a minimum of a 4 year degree in a related human services field; administrative & supervisory experience/working in partnership with colleagues & other service providers; 3 years experience working with families/children, including those who are marginalized and/or culturally diverse; solid knowledge of child development and family dynamics; knowledge in maternal and infant health and knowledge in prevention of child abuse and neglect.$ P4 u& n! d: j# q* K, K

In addition: experience providing support to families in their homes is desired; familiar with community resources to facilitate appropriate referrals; Team player; computer literate; proficient verbal/written English; experience parenting own children an asset.6 u& ?8 N, p0 R* K# R# m; K- s- L
7 g! A; ^' n! \, [1 aPLUS: Valid Police & Alberta Children's Services Intervention Check; willing to work flexible schedule - daytime, evenings and weekends; access to a reliable vehicle; available for one-time travel to the United States for training.8 _9 D( ^" a, k) c6 _
